China 'watching' for US weakness amid Russia invasion of Ukraine, experts warn

Wouldn't it all be easier and more heartfelt if we just blamed Trump for all this stuff? Wouldn't people respect us more as a nation? Why do all these FOX loyalists insist on badmouthing Biden when he has had NOTHING to do with all this stuff he gets blamed for. Joe is a good person and his kids, God rest their souls, have been among the fines that America has to offer. Only the Nazi, white nationalist, hate filled contemptuous human garbage that is everyone that failed to rail against Trump cast a shadow, small and insignificant as it is, on the peace and grace of Bidenism.
Trump tried desperately to remove us from NATO

the question now is, what will we do when Taiwan is threatened?

I can't imagine that Ukraine is very pleased with Biden right now, after all the money they spent on him, to get only tepid responses.
What money??? :ROFLMAO:

Biden needs to concentrate on this, because Asia is more significant than eastern Europe.
China is going to stand off for awhile. While there is little doubt that China will help mitigate the economic impact of the response to Putin's actions, as it shares Russia's belief that it should be able to impose military domination over it's sphere of influence. At the same time it has much more to lose from an economic crash and a split in the world than Russia does. Especially seeing as though the Olympic games didn't do very much for it's world image, to say the least. Biden is not going to be able to persuade China to isolate Russia. But if he can prevent China from fully backing Russia then he could succeed in staving off the worst possible outcome. A world war between authoritarianism and democracy.

It's pretty obvious given your president is in the WH.
China has been watching America for weaknesses for the past 25 years. During that period there have been "Democrats" (whatever that means) AND "Republicans" (whatever that means) for weakness.

So the fact that China is watching America for weaknesses not should not surprise anyone (at least not anyone who realizes that "The World" is NOT comprised solely of the area bounded by Canada, the Atlantic Ocean, Mexico, and the Pacific Ocean).

Who said he wasn't? Fox?

President Biden is sending an unofficial delegation of former U.S. defense and national security officials to Taiwan on Monday, an effort to show that the United States’ commitment to Taiwan “remains rock solid,” according to a senior Biden administration official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss the trip. The visit, first reported by Reuters, comes amid Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which prompted Taiwan to take steps to bolster its military readiness against a possible attack from China. China claims the democratically ruled island as its own and has asserted it could one day use force to take control of Taiwan. The United States has for decades not taken a position on the status of Taiwan’s sovereignty.
The Biden administration official did not cite Ukraine specifically as the reason for the U.S. visit but noted that it followed “a long-standing bipartisan tradition” of presidential administrations sending “high-level, unofficial delegations” to Taiwan. . .Traveling to Taiwan will be Michael Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama; Meghan O’Sullivan, deputy national security adviser for Iraq and Afghanistan under Bush; Michèle Flournoy, undersecretary of defense for policy under Obama; and Mike Green and Evan Medeiros, who were both senior directors for Asia on the National Security Council. “The selection of these five individuals sends an important signal about the bipartisan U.S. commitment to Taiwan and its democracy and demonstrates that the Biden administration’s and the United States’ commitment to Taiwan remains rock solid,” the Biden administration official said.

You really need to stop responding to Fox commands to rage at Biden. Fox keeps letting you down. So now I guess you're stuck pivoting to claim that Biden must be going only because he read the Fox article, which will embarrass you even further, and then you will be mad at being made to feel embarrassed.

It's far too late for you to admit fault and accept reality, so I guess you are stuck insisting Biden is "senile" even as he does a rather good job of things in shitty circumstances. Unlike the criminal lout who was handed a great economy and handed off a bad one, accompanied by incompetence-stoked pandemic, a looming Afghanistan withdrawal deadline that Trump didn't have the stones to set during his first term, and more than I care to type...

As you can see I didn't say he wasn't, I was pointing out the importance given the distraction of Ukraine.

Reduce US dependence on imported oil and increase US exports of fossil fuel products.
Where do you see that happening? Biden's been undermining America's energy production.
If you believe opening more locations for drilling equals energy independence, you've been hoodwinked.

If we actually want energy independence, we'll need to nationalize all oil production and move to a greener energy grid. The companies that drill American lands for oil has zero allegiance to America. They extract the oil and sell it to the highest bidder. They don't care one wit for the American people or our needs.

That (bolded above) is correct, but every barrel of US oil produced is one less barrel of oil which must be imported.

The "experts"? First, there's Heino Klinck, the former deputy assistant secretary of defense for East Asia during the Trump administration. So of course he's running his mouth about Biden.

Then there's this guy:

"I think in some ways it’s the opposite," Stone Fish, who focuses on issues involving U.S.-China national security, said, adding that China could interpret increased military involvement in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict as opportune timing. "They would calculate that the United States is unlikely to go to war with Russia over Ukraine and China over Taiwan at the same time. The more involved the United States gets in the Ukraine crisis from a military perspective, the more it incentivizes China to act now," he added.
I guess Fox felt it needed to give its audience some alternatives. You're authorized to choose between saying Biden is bad for not preventing the Russian invasion thus incentivizing China to take Taiwan, OR that Biden is bad for becoming too involved in Ukraine thus incentivizing China to take Taiwan while we're otherwise occupied.

And if that's too much for the old noggin', Fox hopes you can remember at least one of these: socialist communist fascist marxist commie sleepy senile china Joe Biden.

Aren't options nice?

Or I suppose you could just go with POTATO!
LMAO. Truump again? Do you have a daily quota to bring his name up or something? :ROFLMAO:

Yes. Is Trumpsky and Big Meat for to blame. Trumpsky eat, how you say, peekle peeg feets.

Of course they're watching. ****ing China sucks ass and they love taking shit they feel is theirs. Pretty much just like Russia.

The right never does stick to its guns when something personally effects them. They can turn on a dime. Their so called principles go out the window.

Case in point: At one time the right was strictly anti-Russian aggression. Not they seem to favor Putin over their own president.

Yeah, we're really weak.

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Do you have a non Fox piece as a cite?

You know the drill by now, throw a partisan article from Fox, you will need a bit more.
