Sorry bout that,

1. The powers in China are a disgrace. Totally.
2. They steal their peoples homes and lands and sell it to developers.
3. High rise building soon spring up.
4. Other peoples come and buy.
5. Speak up and get a fist rammed in your face, or worse.
6. The leaders of china are some sick human beings.
7. These imminent domain laws look barbarian compared to our American Imminent Domain laws just recently passed.
8. Did our own United States Supreme Court take some pointers from China, in the way it takes over peoples homes and lands?
9. A cry of justice is being heard, I hear you and I am standing with the People of China. Stop the rape of the people of China!

I 100% agree with you. I think this is the one of the few issues dems and reps can both agree on together. China is a disgrace!

9.We can't. the chinese government will shoot whoever speaks up, whether chinese or american or anything else.

Sorry bout that,

1, Well if we didn't have the freaking Supreme Court doing what its doing now we would have the moral high ground to say something.
2. These damnable Imminent Domain Laws are getting out of hand.
3. This law of imminent domain is bassically evil and needs to be changed as soon as possible.
4. And in my opinion, the judge who sits on the United States Supreme Court,
where a group of people are trying to take his home with same law, I say more power to them!

Sorry bout that,

1. Yes and hound them where every they move, take every house they move into and build something else, till they reverse the Imminent Domain Laws.
2. China is a nation to be shunned for these human rights violations are unforgivable, and China should be brought up on some UN resolutions charges, and fast.

Sorry bout that,

1. The President of China has come to United States of America today.
2. As the China leader was speaking an older lady in the audience began screaming bloody murder at him.
3. It was freaking wonderful to see and hear.
4. I didn't understand a word of what she was screaming but it was a Kodak moment.
5. She will go down in history as a Great Chinese hero for sure.
6. With all this pomp and circumstance, this single scream for for human rights was heard.
7. And it was a warming scream, that President Bush had to stand there and be subject to it, just as the Chinese President did.
8. China's Government is stealing the people of China's Homes and Lands.

SirJamesofTexas

Sorry bout that,

1. As we find out the China tv feed of this Presidential speech was blacked out till the screaming lady shut up.
2. Typical Chinese tactic, squash any opposition
3. There is so many human rights being disregarded in China, where do they start to make amends?
4. Thank God I'm not from China!
5. I thought the People of Red China as a whole had more sense. Guess I was wrong?
6. Unless real fairness learns to find a way into China, it will be a draconian med-evil dictaorship, that the world will sooner or later have to deal with.

people's lands are taken away from them, forcefully. In essence this is wrong. However, most people or compensated very well. My friend's relatives in shanghai were forced to move because of this. At first they were pissed. But then the government gave them around 1 million yuan as compesation. That goes a long way in China. They've moved out successfully, and have the financial resources to send their daughter to america to study.

Why do you guys keep making lists?

Sorry bout that,

1. Its my way.
2. You can post your own way if you like.
3. Can you add anything to this debate?
4. Or are you just asking about why I post the way I do?
5. Oh boy isn't that exciting?

Sorry bout that,

1. In every way this is wrong. Unless its an act of war, and the winner takes all.
2. No China does not use fair compensationial tactics, China likes a good deal, free is better than paying.
3. I'm sure your friends were shafted, but they are afraid to say it in the open public.

so they suddenly have the money to come to send there daughter to the US?

Im in no means saying its wrong, but all this shows is that China isn't trying to screw everyone with this. There is definately an attempt at compensation. If it were the brutal dictatorship that people make it out to be, China woulda just kiecked millions out without any compensation. Maybe even killed em... right?

Sorry bout that,

1. They are moving people out, and bull dozering their ancestral homes.
2. There's no excuse.
3. They do what they want.

there should be second thought about the ancestral home stuff... but hardly every one lives in an ancestral home.. haha

also, most of china's development wouldn't be possible without the government control. Its kinda ironic. The government is trying to fuel capitalism through strict government control.

Lets ask,

1. Maybe not everyone has an ancestral home anymore.
2. Lets just conclude that 500 families get their homes take away from them, without compensation, because for whatever reason.
3. Refused to sell.
4. http://newecomonist.blogs.com/new_economist/2006/04/china_theft.html or http:www.sky.com/skynews/article/0,,30000-13518694,00.html
5. China is in no way the rightful owners to resale this or develop it themselves.
6. This level of raping the citizens of China has to be stoped, in my view this should be the top gripe our government should be having towards China.
7. If a man's home, isn't off limits from the government stealing it from over his head, it very well should be in every Nation on Earth.
8. I blame the President of China, President Hu Jantao.

what you describe happens all the time in america as well. businesses want certain land. Government does little to stop them. People and their homes get screwed. China just does it more directly. Its whats helping them in the long run. They're trying to force capitalism slowly onto their country. Once that can happen, and stability is ensured, the authoritarian policies will slowly vanish. They just don't want to get into a russia-like state.

also, if china were to just completely reform. And we were to install all the rights that we take for granted in this country. most likely, China would end up in a political and economic mess. Stuff like this has to happen slowly. The fact that china is slowly letting private enterprise into its country shows only progress.

Sorry bout that,

1. This is wrong in every circumstance.
2. This will be the governments final down fall.
3. Problem is its the worst kinda of theft.
4. When a ruler steals a peasants land, only because he can, his days will be numbered.

this happens in every country, when a country tries to develop. Are you saying the US was bound to fail, when they let big businesses systematically take advantage of the populations? The common man got screwed, but it helped catapault the US into the Industrial Age. If a country is to compete against another conutry, it can't always do everything "right". You have to weigh the consequences.

E.g. Should a gov. kick 50 people off their homes to build a damn that could later provide clean power to millions, provide jobs, and help drive progress?

China's kciking off people (compensating a lot of them well), to make way for progress. Not necessarily right, but China's defintaely not trying to kill itself.

Sorry bout that,

1. They are stealing land, and bashing peoples homes into mud balls.
2. Unless they compensate them all, its a human rights violation, and should be brought up to the UN and whoever will listen and take action.
3. China's rich and should know better not to steal homes and lands.
4. In USA everyone who gets imminent domain pulled on them do get paid atleast market value.

China is paying the people that they displace.

as I said before, progress requires them to do so... you don't wanna end up like russia, where progress got muddled in all the sohuts for freedom and getting rid of the old government. No thought was given to the possible state of things after the fall of communism. So... Not everything in the world can be done right. You have a very romanticized look on the world. Of course it is wrong, but atleast China is going in the right direction with capitalism and free-markets.

Sorry bout that,

1. China's Government will colapse, because it stole its peasants homes and lands.
2. It will be good for China.
3. Bringing China into the Modern World.
4. A real Democracy will take its place.
5. Modeled after Taiwan.
6. The little will over take the big.

you are right, a democracy will take the government's place, but china will transition into it if anything. No real collapse.

so keep posting the same thing over and over again

2. They will collapse, just a matter of time now I say.
3. They won't change from stealing homes and lands.
4. The people will rise up.
5. And take over.
