In my humble opinon. China needs a single party dictatorship that, as long as it remains progressive, seems to be rolling itself out of totalitarianism into authorianism, which logically I assume, it will, naturally, due to economic reform and judicial reform, become less oppressive.

Maybe there *will* be a revolution once the freedom becomes great enough. However I think the west should drop the attitude that you should pressure countries on moral grounds. If anything, a privatized China is a freer China.

I would continue to internationally try and push China into a more market based system and naturally the social and political implications should follow.

your opinions?

In many many ways, China today is more capitalistic than the US is. Just when anyone attempts to tot some form of "unregulated" democracy, Beijing sends in the firing squad.
Beijing no longer cares about what ppl say everyday, however they are "very concerned" when anyone says "key words".

China's political change is inevitable. Some remarkable changes are taking place in China's prep for the '08 olympics. One of which is true law enforcement, not just some interpretation of the law, but actual due process of law, a very good thing.
I recommend you watch the Discovery Time documentary China Rises. very well made.

I hate chinese government, I'm still waiting to go to sniper school so that I can pick off every government official one-by-one. Or at least those that want communism.
