China looks like it's getting worried -- Xi urges Putin to negotiate

The writing on the wall that Xi sees is that the Ukrainians are going to kick Russia's ass. That might make a scared Putin do something really stupid. Better to negotiate than become radioactive.

War is unpredictable, China does not like unpredictable.

Ukraine won’t kick Russia's ass, Russia learned a lesson in the first Chechen war. It will have casualties but won’t rush to take cities.

Look at what happened to Grozny in the second Chechen war, or Georgia in 2008 for what is likely to occur

Ukraine is 4 times bigger than Georgia with over 4 times the population.

It's likely simply the age old technique of wanting to be able to claim he was willing to negotiate, while having unreasonable terms making it a farce. Which his demand to agree they can never enter NATO might have been also. It lets him tell Russians he tried to negotiate.
Art of the Deal.

China has slave wages and massively overworked citizens.

Why in the hell would they want the "genius" from Moscow to go rouge? It upsets their goldmine.

I listened to a discussion about this from "experts" presented to analyze what's going on.

They said that 150,000 soldiers would be enough to invade, but not enough to occupy. This presents the idea that the aftermath is far different than the invasion.

The number of Stinger and Javelin Missiles being sent to Ukraine right now should be in the thousands. This is to help the Ukrainians fight the battle.

If we are not sending these missiles now, fast and furious, our leaders are allies of Putin.

This is a case where we are with them or against them. Jets and helicopters should be falling out of the sky like bird crap.

China's government are terrible liars. You can't trust a word. They want to 'look good' while pursuing whatever policy benefits them. I could link you a video made yesterday showing their propaganda saying they aren't taking sides alongside an accidentally leaked instruction to their propaganda creators saying no message critical of Russia is permitted to be aired in China.

Governments like the CCP and all big government, central control, tyrannical regimes are pretty similar in how they control the flow of information and recommend one particular idea to be "Truth" suppressing all others.

ANYTIME you notice that any government is dealing in such suppression of thought, especially when they endorse on particular Truth with a capital T, it's time to examine the motives moving that government to that act.
