I wish 30% of the country wasn't so racist and stupid about economics. There is literally no means for us to regain a lot of this manufacturing, thus tariffs will never bring back anything except a depression.

Will a Trumper, any Trumper, explain to me why a trade imbalance with most countries is a bad thing ? Seems to me that it was these imbalances that contributed to making the US the economic super power and rich country it is.

Thats on a 700 dollar item. Thats 54 bucks the customer has to pay.

Watch as Bessent is backed into a corner and has to admit US companies pay the tariffs.


But like a coward he says they are absorbing tariffs (not passing on the cost to the consumer) or that foreign suppliers are reducing prices to help reduce the total cost with tariffs.

There is very little evidence that foreign companies are lowing prices to help with tariffs. Perhaps Amazon and Walmart can get some concessions because of their sheer buying power, but everyone else is footing the whole tariff bill.
 
So, who is Trump going to fire over this? Should we set up a pool? Maybe a bracket?

The only people talking about trade imbalances are ****ing idiots who just parrot the head ****ing idiot Trump.
Trade imbalances are not a good or bad thing they simply the difference between exports and imports.
We obviously export less to a poor developing country like vietnam then we would import.
They don't have the need or money for expensive American goods while we want their inexpensive goods they manufacture.

Nobody is lowering prices because of this.
