China’s exports continued to accelerate in July as a fall in shipments to the
United States was offset by growth in a range of markets, including Africa,
Europe and Latin America, with chip exports surging by nearly 30 per cent,
year on year.
The world’s largest goods exporter saw outbound shipments rise last month
by 7.2 per cent, year on year, to US$321.8 billion, according to customs data
released on Thursday.
The figure was higher than the 5.8 per cent growth rate recorded in June and
beat the 5.8 per cent growth forecast in a market survey by the Chinese
financial data provider Wind.
The U.S. Census Bureau and the U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis announced
today that the goods and services deficit was $60.2 billion in June, down $11.5
billion from $71.7 billion in May, revised.
June exports were $277.3 billion, $1.3 billion less than May exports. June
imports were $337.5 billion, $12.8 billion less than May imports.
The June decrease in the goods and services deficit reflected a decrease in the
goods deficit of $11.4 billion to $85.9 billion and an increase in the services
surplus of $0.1 billion to $25.7 billion.
I wish 30% of the country wasn't so racist and stupid about economics. There is literally no means for us to regain a lot of this manufacturing, thus tariffs will never bring back anything except a depression.Don't think we're winning this trade war with...anyone. Certainly not China.
But hey, our trade deficits are decreasing! We're exporting less, but we're importing much less as well.
Brilliant!

Trump loves the poorly educatedWill a Trumper, any Trumper, explain to me why a trade imbalance with most countries is a bad thing ? Seems to me that it was these imbalances that contributed to making the US the economic super power and rich country it is.
C'mon guy, relax! It's time to celebrate! This ia gonna get bad.
In a fb group for a toy Mondo was charging 54 for tarrifs.
Thats on a 700 dollar item. Thats 54 bucks the customer has to pay.
America isnt ready for how bad this is gonna get.
The same reason they think Jerome Powell sets interest rates.Flowing in from US businesses and consumers. Why does he pretend that the money is coming in from outside of the States? Why do Trumpers fall for it?
What's he gonna do when tarrifs slow and "dry up"C'mon guy, relax! It's time to celebrate!
Tariffs on the rest of the world are now in effect!
Golden Age!
Watch as Bessent is backed into a corner and has to admit US companies pay the tariffs.Flowing in from US businesses and consumers. Why does he pretend that the money is coming in from outside of the States? Why do Trumpers fall for it?
Some are, some arent.Watch as Bessent is backed into a corner and has to admit US companies pay the tariffs.
But like a coward he says they are absorbing tariffs (not passing on the cost to the consumer) or that foreign suppliers are reducing prices to help reduce the total cost with tariffs.
There is very little evidence that foreign companies are lowing prices to help with tariffs. Perhaps Amazon and Walmart can get some concessions because of their sheer buying power, but everyone else is footing the whole tariff bill. Some are, some arent.
The only people talking about trade imbalances are ****ing idiots who just parrot the head ****ing idiot Trump. Will a Trumper, any Trumper, explain to me why a trade imbalance with most countries is a bad thing ? Seems to me that it was these imbalances that contributed to making the US the economic super power and rich country it is.
Nobody is lowering prices because of this. There is very little evidence that foreign companies are lowing prices to help with tariffs. Perhaps Amazon and Walmart can get some concessions because of their sheer buying power, but everyone else is footing the whole tariff bill.

Yes, that was mentioned in the OP. Did you need some explanation of how exports work, or...? Not sure why else you would randomly post something already known.$277.3 billion
