After an explosion on Weibo about boycotts of Western brands in China (which was government backed, nothing that isn't government backed becomes popular on Weibo) it seems a boycot of at least H&M and Nike is in full swing.

China goes after Western retailers over Xinjiang cotton

As Chinese- Western relations hits an all time low (at least one not seen since the early 90s), "Xinjiang cotton" is a new battlefield (some western brands stopped using cotton from Xinjiang last years because campaigns on social media regarding Uyghur slave labour).

This will end well for them.

China has announced a boycott of Western brands Nike and H & M, which previously wrote about the persecution of Uighurs by the Chinese authorities.
This is reported by Euronews.

"The Chinese do not intend to allow foreigners to eat chinese rice and break chinese bowls at the same time," Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said.

China's all butthurt because someone dared to question their genocide.
