I guess Singapore had an unfair advantage over China too. It's one of the smallest, but also one of the most prosperous countries in the world. The poor old communist countries always got a raw deal. (Sad Face) Boo Hoo Hoo Hoo. (It's advantage was being originally run by the English.) Yeah, Damn Capitalists.

Singapore Economy, Singapore's Economic Profile | Economy Watch
Singapore is an amalgamation of 63 islands, and is the smallest country in Southeast Asia. Once a British trading colony, Singapore became a part of the Malaysian Federation in 1963. It became an independent nation two years later. Despite the small geographic size of the nation, Singapore's economy is one of most prosperous in the world, with a strong international trade link. Singapore's economy is a capitalist mixed economy, with minimal government intervention in the market.

Small country is small.

Also country with a community centered ideal instead of ruthless self-centered corporate interests is prosperous.

Uh...... yeah!!! It's the smallest one in Malaysia. That only means size doesn't matter. What's your point? They also have very little in the way of natural resources, just like Japan. So that doesn't matter either.

Looks like this has already been answered but here's another knock on you. I thought everthing was all touchy feely in China under Mao too. Why else does everyone go around wearing his fat assed face on T-shirts? He sure didn't miss any meals while his programs caused the starvation of millions. Do yourown research and look it up.
