Chicken breast, ground beef, pork prices set to surge higher
The price of chicken breast, hamburger and pork are expected to surge higher in the first half of 2022 due to higher feed costs, according to a recent analysis.
According to FoxNews/Pravda, the war in Ukraine is raising the cost of feed. Russia felt confidant in attcking Ukraine because so many Western democracies depend on it's oil and natural gas. How many reasons do we need to get serious about renewable energy? Do we really have to be in bed with Saudi Arabia, UAE, and the rest of OPEC?
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) was founded in Baghdad, Iraq, with the signing of an agreement in September 1960 by five countries namely Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. They were to become the Founder Members of the Organization.
These countries were later joined by Qatar (1961), Indonesia (1962), Libya (1962), the United Arab Emirates (1967), Algeria (1969), Nigeria (1971), Ecuador (1973), Gabon (1975), Angola (2007), Equatorial Guinea (2017) and Congo (2018).
Now it's OPEC+
- OPEC plus countries include Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Brunei, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Mexico, Oman, Russia, South Sudan and Sudan. Saudi and Russia, both have been at the heart of a three-year alliance of oil producers known as OPEC Plus — which now includes 11 OPEC members and 10 non-OPEC nations — that aims to shore up oil prices with production cuts.

We must reduce our dependence on oil. We already turn a blind eye to Saudi Arabia's insane system of government, religious oppression, and shameful, criminal, abusive treatment of women. Solar, electric, wind and even nuclear have to be better alternatives.
Not to mention climate change, the most important reason.
