The subtitle of the article should be "Elmer Fudd Alert". Cheney's version of bird hunting is for people to take birds out of a cage and throw them at his shotgun. That is called hunting? Give me a freakin' break. All you old people - Steer clear of Pennsylvania, if you know what's good for you.

Meanwhile, here in Texas, where real hunters live, Cheney is the laughingstock of every hunter in the state. Cheney has also won the Texas Monthly Bum Steer Award for 2006. Here is a picture of the cover of the January issue:

Is he really going hunting again? Hide the children.

On that note.

I've gone hunting before it's fun but I dont understand why some people use these huge shotguns for the the smallest animals at close range. Care to explain? It's like once you pick up that squirrel. There aint much of it left. I'll try to find some of the pictures from my last hunting trip with my extended family from GA and explain.

On a side note:

I had a traffic accident yesterday and I'm going to drive my car again today.

Just a hate thread, folks. Nothing to see here.

Were you intoxicated at the time? If so.....maybe you shouldn't be driving again today.....or any time soon.

Yea, but did you have the SS hide you from those pesky local police and their evil questions? :2wave:

Y'know, I want to say it's a good thing he didn't let a simple accident-- that could've happened to anybody-- deter him from a sport he enjoys.

But I'm still stuck on the disgraceful activity that he and his peers call "hunting".

Maybe he ought to come home for awhile, and go on a few real hunts.

Every time someone has made this statement, I've challenged them to present some proof that Cheney wasn't hunting wild birds.. and have yet to receive a reply, much less an apology for spreading lies.

CurrentAffairs,
I guess as you are posting and expect to drive again today, that you were not hurt too much, that is good.
Was anyone else hurt in this accident?

Your challenge isn't really any kind of a challenge at all.

Article on the US Humane Society web site.

As you can plainly see, nobody is spreading lies. The next thing you know, you will be telling people that Cheney never shot an old man in the face either. LOL.

Vice President Dick Cheney went pheasant shooting in Pennsylvania in December 2003,

The hunting accident happened in TEXAS, not Pennsylvania.

Try again.

Looks like it went right over your head. Of course the accident happened in Texas. That is why he got the award for Bum Steer of the Year from Texas Monthly Magazine.

Now, as for your accusation that stories about his bird kills are lies, I provided a link proving it is true. Care to elaborate on that?

A simple question....

Was the hunt where the accident happened (the one you were commenting on in your opening post) canned? hint: it was in Texas. If so, provide proof.

You provided a link from the Humane Society, who I wouldn't believe anyway, that he supposedly had a canned hunt in Pennsylvania.

A hunt in PA has nothing to do with a hunt in TX.

It's really very simple.

Actually, you are making no sense whatsoever.

1) Does Cheney go to events where birds are released from a cage? Of course, and I provided a link to prove it.

2) Did Cheney shoot an old man in the face? Of course, and Texas Monthly Magazine (Which happens to be a very mainstream Texas publication) is making fun of him.

3) So now Cheney is going hunting in Pennsylvania. The punch line is "everybody get out of the way", but the humor is lost on you. Actually, the humor is lost on most Bushneviks, who are still whining about the Democrats. Bushneviks have absolutely no sense of humor, unless Bill Clinton is the object of the joke, of course. LOL.

I'll ask one more time... maybe this time you'll get it.

Can you provide any proof, even tainted information from the HSUS, that Cheney hunted caged quail in Texas when the hunting accident occurred?? This is what you claimed and now refuse to provide any proof.

You, and other lefties will say any thing to demean a conservative, whether it's true or not.

I personally don't find humor in a hunting accident where someone gets shot in the face. Evidently you do.

I see you've met Danavik.

I missed that claim in this thread, can you kindly point it out to me?

Bingo, of course, that is not the claim I made. However, when one is grasping for straws, any straw will do, even one which does not exist. :)

LOL, beautiful :) That was a good laugh...

Now we just need Old Ted on the cover of Car & Driver magazine

I love it how when Cheney shoots somebody in the face it's a mistake and making fun of it is unacceptable. When Clinton gets a blowjob from a woman who's not his wife. It's not funny and he's destroying the American goverment along with family values as we know them and should be taken as seriously as possible. . You gotta love partisanship.

Glad you caught the intended humor. Enjoy. We in Texas are. And please DO buy a copy of Texas Monthly Magazine, or Dick Cheney really WILL shoot you in the face. They mean it. :)

Again with the Clinton extra marital affair. You guys are obsessed with it. But what you refuse to understand is, it was lying about it under oath that got him in trouble, not the bj itself.
