In this case, Barkley is not that far off the mark.

I do not agree with everything that he says but in this case there is a valid few points in there about political motivations, the consequences of political duopoly, and the bastardization of the original civil rights movement by today's self appointed leaders.

The Left is desperate to hold onto the Black vote. Once they only get 85% of it, they’re in serious trouble... like guaranteed loss trouble. 80%... it’s game over.

Republicans would love nothing more than a colorblind society... one that follows MLK’s dictum of content of character... not skin color.

Only when the Democrats lose a significant portion of that vote may we see some sanity regarding race issues... until then it’s defend the fort at all costs... even to the cost of unity and peace.

Just look at the vile words the handlers stuffed into the brainless fool’s mouth about Jim Crow on Steroids recently.

That’s not unity... that’s pure division in an effort to shore up the Black vote with pure, sick, unadulterated lies. Nothing more, nothing less.

Barkley points out that we live in different neighborhoods. That is clearly an example of division. Barkley skates over this, but it is the ignoring of reality. Certainly many others would like to ignore it as well. To acknowledge the truth is to admit to white privilege.
