Ok, everytime we deep clean our house, I always find a crap ton my wife's celebrity gossip magazines everywhere. Also, she always changes my Headline News, over to the E! channel in the morning while I am taking a shower. And whenever her sister or friends come over, they buy the latest celebrity gossip magazines, and they pour over them as if there is some kind of pertinent information in there that they have to know.
My question is, is what is so compelling about being intrusive into what someone else is wearing or eating, or anything about that persons personal life. If you want a comparable obsession for men, it would be sports but men are more obsessive about the sport or the team and the action on the field/court, rather than the athletes personal lives. You probably don't see too many guys saying, "Wow Peyton Manning looked pretty good in that suit that he showed up to the game in, I wonder who he was wearing"
So my question is, what is so compelling about these peoples lives that makes women like my wife obsess over them? Its a multi-million ( maybe billion ) dollar industry that has no substance, and is very intrusive if you ask me.
