CDU chancellor candidate Armin Laschet admits plagiarism

Now he plays in the same League as Annalena Baerbock

Is every German politician a plagiarist? Starting to look that way.

I hope that Olaf Scholz and the SPD gain traction, once the German vacation people are back in the country in September.

The party belongs to 25-30%, not 15-17% right now.

IMO, Scholz is the most logical/stable successor of Merkel (with Luschet and Prellbock being dogged down by scandal after scandal).

Scholz is getting some traction, but it seems that doesn't translate to SPD gaining more support, unfortunately.

Not yet you mean.

But this can change, once the German vacationers are back in the country and the campaign picks up speed in September.

If I were a centrist German voter, I'd probably vote for SPD/Scholz this year (I usually vote Green or SPÖ or Liberals here in Austria).

ähm - have you ever heard of "wirecard scandal", "cum ex scandal" and Scholz really bad memory?

that´s about Trillions stolen under his control, not just some stupid book

Plagiarism really seems to be a problem for German politicians. I remember both the Karl Theodor zu Guttenberg (baron zu Googleberg) scandal and the Annette Schavan scandal.

I suspect lots of politicians all around the world are. It's just become the current in thing for the media to report on in Germany at the moment.
