CDC to significantly ease pandemic mask guidelines Friday

hang on.

are you saying Fauci (who you take every opportunity to needle as you straddle your fence) encouraged people to be reckless and unsafe during this pandemic.
He simply stated that the general population did not need to wear masks. Do you have a quote of him saying "be unsafe"?

It's certainly up to you as to how you feel about the credibility of the CDC and their recommendations. I think they've damaged their reputation greatly and I think many will not care about them officially easing mask mandates. I think most people have decided how they personally feel about masking (some thinking masks are important and others thinking they're worthless) and the CDC's "guidance" has little to do, anymore, with that personal opinion/decision.
You are repeating your opinion. ok.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday will announce a change to the metrics it uses to determine whether to recommend face coverings, shifting from looking at COVID-19 case counts to a more holistic view of risk from the coronavirus to a community. Under current guidelines, masks are recommended for people residing in communities of substantial or high transmission — roughly 95% of U.S. counties, according to the latest data.

Most of the country has already started doing this over the last two or three weeks. But the CDC, being the data driven institution they are needed time to dot the i's and cross the t's. It is good to see that the states did not jump the gun in the sense of doing something where the CDC would have gone another direction though.
After reading the article here is what I came away with. CDC is saying the number of infected has remained relatively unchanged but room at the hospitals have increased. That's why they are recommending relaxing the mandates. I'm expecting to see cases of hospitalizations to increase if what they are saying is correct.

They lifted the mask mandate at my casino at 5pm yesterday. Today I’m sick, I did the at home test which came up negative. It must be a false negative. I have a headache and chills. Sounds like BA2 or maybe B1529. It’s probably too early to start a go fund me. Also my refrigerator stopped cooling.
