The mainstream news media is not liberal or conservative ideologically, it's corporatist. They're agents of corporate control. Which side ideologically favors the current model of corporate capitalism is obvious. To demonstrate, here is CBS ceding the explanation of Biden's proposed tax policy to their latest right-wing hire. It's not as if the supposed-journalist has the ability to explain it herself, much less the ability to push back against the Trumpian economist.

I wonder how long Mick will last? MSNBC hired Peter Strock’s (sp?) paramour and you cold tell she wasn’t going to cut it.

Are you kidding me? You present a clearly biased video (which asserts that NPR is biased to the right, no less) to try to prove media bias. The video talks (a bit) about presenting ‘just the facts’ of tax policy, yet never does that - it simply asserts that biased “experts” are *gasp* being allowed to answer media questions.

Uh-huh. Hire a far right propagandist to “analyze” the proposed Biden tax hike on billionaires.

“Media Matters’ Matt Gertz called CBS’ hiring decision “an embarrassment,” and a particularly avoidable one. “What does Mulvaney bring to the table for CBS News that it wouldn’t get from a different right-wing multimillionaire who wants to keep taxes low?” MSNBC Columnist Hayes Brownsaid the CBS newsroom bosses must have “suffered a mass amnesia event” to hire the guy. “Exposing the American people to such pathological liars and despots is an act of journalistic malpractice,” former GOP spokesperson turned Democratic adviser Kurt Bardella wrote in an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times about Mulvaney's new job. “It’s as if the power-that-be at the network learned nothing from a tumultuous presidency that culminated with insurrectionists attacking the U.S. Capitol.”

The backlash is rooted in a litany of stains on Mulvaney’s track record that hang over whatever analysis or expertise CBS is now paying him to provide. Mulvaney as OMB director carried out Trump’s order to withhold nearly $400 million in military aid to Ukraine around the same time the president was pressuring the country’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, to investigate his then-presidential opponent, Joe Biden, and his son, Hunter Biden.

CBS must be another Putin loving Russia stooge.

That also means CBS news loves seeing dead Ukrainian children and raped moms.

I remember a few years ago when Laura Ingraham first got her start by becoming an “analyst” for one of the prime time networks, probably CBS. I watched a couple of segments and immediately came to the conclusion that’s they had hired a female Rush Limbaugh and were trying to present her as an objective analyst. What a farce!

They're agents of the shareholders and worshippers of profit.

Nothing more.

If tyt is complaining about it that means it's good.

Strock, himself is a commentator on MSNBC all the time as well. At least he's not an evil hand job, like Mick.

There's no telling what you meant it seems like you take issue with people earning a living
Lol, no.

Although I do occasionally have a problem with the way some people make a living. Fleecing people or lying for a living for instance.

My understanding is that NPR is pretty establishment, but I'm not an expert on them.

The video talks (a bit) about presenting ‘just the facts’ of tax policy, yet never does that

The video wasn't an analysis of tax policy.

- it simply asserts that biased “experts” are *gasp* being allowed to answer media questions.

Mick Mulvaney works for CBS. He's part of their media outlet.

According to the video all media are corporate cheerleaders and supporters of the rich.

The video wasn't an analysis of tax policy.

True, but they are doing exactly what they are complaining about - spewing opinion and not discussing the content of the tax proposal.

Whether the “expert” is permanently on the payroll or invited as a guest (which are typically paid to appear as well) makes no difference. The complaint was based on not simply having news anchors reporting (presenting?) the details of the proposed tax law changes, rather than asking “experts” (who are all biased?) to do so.

I doubt that news anchor personnel are even able to understand the legalese contained in tax (or most other) legislation. That is why most invite (or employ) “experts“ to do so.

It's funny that they act like this on The Young Turks.

Both Crank Uyger and Anna kasparian are millionaires.

They are Donald Trump rich but compared to the average American they are in the top 1%.

Tyt are just as much players in this game it's everyone else they attack.

And it's rather funny to me that the problems of The Young Turks and one of the presenters has in Armenian last name.

The important part (of that TYT rant) was to bash CBS for hiring (or paying) conservatives to present their views on it’s ‘news’ shows. The rest was filler to emphasize that CBS is far from alone in committing that all too common media sin.

I think it has to do with televised news versus New Media.

Televised news absolutely hates YouTube because it makes them look like idiots some guy and his basement talking about current events out does all of them sometimes even put together.

So I don't think the criticism of televised news is completely unwarranted.

But I think they're listening to their audience televised news at least and trying to balance out the left right bias. Or at least appear to do that.

Tyt is it propaganda outlet and they don't like that because it is against the propaganda.

Every once in awhile some of the people on that Network go into this tirade convincing themselves that everyone in the country is really deep down a socialist and we'd all like socialism if we just give it a shot.

Tyt is turning into the Alex Jones of the left.
