and socialistic programs, just like the USA....but more socialistic than we are.....
all "first" world countries have social programs, socialism is used to different dgrees, that is the only difference...
That doesnt make it succesful socialism. Just the opposite, those socialist programs have all caused problems for those countries. Increasing debt, unstable economies and currency, social unrest.
you are only seeing what you want to see...
all countries have problems, none of those countries are failing, the people who live there aren't moving to the USA in any large numbers, and those who do come here aren't coming because their countries are worse.
Look at the overall picture....
The US has the same problem, thats why. Socialist programs are causing debt, unrest and instability.
socialist programs exist as a response to corporate greed, robber barons, the unscrupulous hoarding of wealth at the expense of the rest of the nation....

So move to some other great nations who don't bother with any social programs and have really low tax rates.
I've heard Somalia is fantastic this time of year (before the famine season kicks in) and their government's so uninvasive that it practically doesn't exist! It is conservative PARADISE, I tell you!
anarchy is wonderful, ain't it? total freedom, as long as YOUR personal army is the biggest around...

Why would I move? Thats how the US was designed. Just put it back, and then you either like it, change it legally, or leave it.
true communism has never existed.....they were more dictatorships than anything else...Modern Somalia is a consequence of militant state communism.
You guys should read more about these subjects.
It makes your posts, look ignorant.

founding fathers were a bunch of damn liberals....

I know, but this is what is popularly defined as communism.
Never the less, these regimes do a lot of things, that some liberals in the U.S. tend to want.
Industry nationalization and further state control of the economy.
It's just that they eventually fail because their economies start to suck, from all that government control.
It's pretty ignorant to call Somalia, a paradise of freedom, when one of the direct causes of it's destruction, is too much government control.
So the choices are socialism or anarchism?
Why wouldn't you use an example that's actually applicable, like, I don't know, India. One of the largest growing economies in the world that's also incidentally moving away from it's formally oppressive socialist policies. It's not like India is completely favorable to Capitalism either; there are plenty of problems you could point out. Falsely equating anyone against socialist policies to anarchists accomplishes nothing.

too bad conservatives didn't properly estimate the cost of the last IRAQ war and give congress a chance to fund it in advance....by taxing gasoline and diesel....
elaborate? what country has plunged into 3rd world ruins due to socialism or social programs?
For under $100 per month per family, Canadians have adequate health care. Are they 3rd world? How about the many countries in Europe that provide health care and other social needs?
Brian Sinclair, 45, died last September after waiting 34 hours at Winnipeg's Health Sciences Centre emergency room without receiving treatment for a bladder infection.
After suffering from crushing headaches and vision problems, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor four years ago. She was told if it wasn't removed, she could go blind or even die.
"My family doctor at that time tried to get me in to see an endocrinologist and a neurologist," Holmes recalled. "It was going to be four months for one specialist and six months for the other." Video Watch Holmes talk about her experience in getting treatment »
Even with the warning from U.S. doctors in hand, Holmes said she still couldn't get in to see Canadian specialists. Because the government system is the only health care option for Canadians, she says she had no choice but to have the surgery in the U.S.
A problem in Canada's hospitals is sending scores of pregnant women south of the border to have their babies.
Ash's hospital couldn't handle the high-risk pregnancy. Doctors searched for another hospital bed, but even hospitals in Vancouver, B.C. didn't have a neo-natal bed.
"So two provinces didn't have enough room, so I have to go to another country," said Ash.
Ash was sent to Swedish Medical Center where, nurses told KOMO 4 News, five Canadian women have come to have their babies in the past six weeks. Some were even airlifted at up to $5,000 per flight.
Canadians have adequate health care? Really? Under $100 per family?
If adequate means suffering seizures until you come to the US and pay for care...

Two provinces of 'adequate' care.
And there are HUNDREDS of stories like these. Why do you think Timely Medical Alternatives, a company that specializes in getting Canadians out of the Canadian health care system, even exists? Why would people pay to leave their "adequate care" system? Because it's not...
Timely Medical Services
With all due respect sir... you can take your adequate care, and get out of the US. We don't need your "adequate care" here. What crap!
as long as we are talking about personal preferences......So in your world, war and health care are exactly the same? Defending the nation is the same thing as free government services to citizens?
Because in my world... that's different.
It's like the difference between getting cable TV and having food. If my income goes down... I'm cutting TV before I cut feeding the family.
so SOME liberals want some social thngs, they usually don't get them....
Some conservatives want unfettered capitalism....we had that once, and created robber barons who turned armed thugs loose on to their own employees....
Every philosophy has its own dark side.
ummm, that was sarcasm?
