Although Confirmation is sometimes called the "sacrament of Christian maturity," we must not confuse adult faith with the adult age of natural growth, nor forget that the baptismal grace is a grace of free, unmerited election and does not need "ratification" to become effective. St. Thomas Aquinas reminds us of this: Age of body does not determine age of soul. Even in childhood man can attain spiritual maturity: as the book of Wisdom says: For old age is not honored for length of time, or measured by number of years. Many children, through the strength of the Holy Spirit they have received, have bravely fought for Christ even to the shedding of their blood. (Catechism of the Catholic Church #1308)

The "soldier of Christ" imagery, remains valid [8] but is downplayed if seen as part of the once common idea of Confirmation as a "sacrament of maturity",[9] was used as far back as 350, by St Cyril of Jerusalem.[10] In this connection, the touch on the cheek that the bishop gave while saying "Pax tecum" (Peace be with you) to the person he had just confirmed was interpreted in the Roman Pontifical as a slap, a reminder to be brave in spreading and defending the faith: "Deinde leviter eum in maxilla caedit, dicens: Pax tecum" (Then he strikes him lightly on the cheek, saying: Peace be with you) (cf. the knightly custom of the accolade).
Confirmation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I have been Confirmed by God himself. The Holy Spirit is inside of me. I am a Catholic Soldier of Christ. If you are Catholic then you are too. We need to fight harder for Jesus.

"it gives us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldly, and never to be ashamed of the Cross" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1303).

The Roman Catholic Church honours all that shed their blood for Christ. Would you shed blood for Jesus? Would you fight bravely for Christ? Have you received the Holy Spirit? If not then I am worried about your soul. Join the Roman Catholic Church.

Recall then that you have received the spiritual seal, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of right judgment and courage, the spirit of knowledge and reverence, the spirit of holy fear in God's presence. Guard what you have received. God the Father has marked you with his sign; Christ the Lord has confirmed you and has placed his pledge, the Spirit, in your hearts.

Dont you want the Holy Spirit to be in your hearts? What happens if there is a Holy War between Muslims and Christians like those IS people want? Will you be with us? Or against us? We need more Soldiers of Christ. I blame non-Christians. You non-Christians are preventing unity. Come back to the true church. Convert. The Catholic Church is the one true church. You are too far away from Jesus. Save your souls. Become Catholic before it is too late. Hurry!

I don't think God needs soldiers in this day and age, why not try to use your skills to help others instead, more passively? like, for example, why not try to start with your own family? if you were to listen to them for a while each day, they will take time to adjust to your attention, maybe, but they will come to love you more, and maybe listen to you. this is a great way to start a listening trend, there are so many people in your country shouting, yes?

You do not appear, in view of other posts, to be either Christian nor Catholic, let alone any sort of Miles Christos.

Wasnt the Pope calling for airstrikes the other day? What was that in the name of? Who should we kill in the name of anyway? Satan?

I really do not believe that the Pope is helping or that he is trying to help. We have US media talking about a 'Barbarian Invasion' and a battle between good and evil and now we have the Pope calling for some kind of modern crusade with his calls to arms and constant war propaganda. This is not the Middle Ages and in my opinion the Pope should mind his business

So what do you god-fearing Christians think? Do you guys really believe in all this End Times mumbo jumbo?

Why wont you non-Catholics fight for Jesus? He died for your souls you know. God.

Jesus died for our souls because he was proud. if you really love someone you will accept them into your heaven, to pronounce yourself the savior and go on display like that, when you could just send a message to the religious leaders was silly. if Jesus had wanted to forgive us, he could have made a rainbow and little butterflies as a covenant. maybe that was all the people back then understood. maybe that was all Jesus understood?

Of course, the ways of opening the lord's heart to forgiving the people that sin is not hard, is it? if he is an all loving God, then there would be no devils, would there? there are many devils, as, devils are common. they are twisted figments that affect people here and in the afterlife. have you played soul caliber or soul blade? if you were to watch the character voldo or something spinning around atop one of his opponents, that is how unhappy and desperate to cause pain to feel powerful they are, in my opinion.

So, if Jesus died for our sins, why doesn't he also cure everyone of diseases right now? he was selective in whom he cured;

(Matthew 15:21-28) said:
21 Leaving that place, Jesus withdrew to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 A Canaanite woman from that vicinity came to Him, crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is suffering terribly from demon-possession.”

23 Jesus did not answer a word. So his disciples came to Him and urged Him, “Send her away, for she keeps crying out after us.” 24 He answered, “I was only sent to the lost sheep of Israel.”

25 The woman came and knelt before Him. “Lord, help me!” she said. 26 He replied, “It is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs.” 27 “Yes, Lord,” she said, “but even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master’s table.”

27 Then Jesus answered, “Woman, you have great faith! Your request is granted.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

As we can see, Jesus did not want to help her, instead serving the people his 'Father' created. what is the difference between a Jew and a 'thingy?' of course, they will find ways to say that he was going to get there, but it has been two thousand years since he has healed anybody.

The good news is that Jesus does answer prayers directed at him. the only way to the father is through Jesus, so don't ignore him on your way up. this means of course that calling for the manager when you get bad service is the same thing, in earnest, yes?

Now, why would Jesus have to die to change his father's mind?

Exodus 9:12 said:
…11The magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils, for the boils were on the magicians as well as on all the Egyptians. 12And the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he did not listen to them, just as the LORD had spoken to Moses.

As we can see, God was testing the faith of those that called on him. this is not comely for a all knowing being, is it? if he wanted to, he could do anything, being omnipotent, omniscient and all loving, yes? Something is wrong with this myth, or, there is something wrong with God, apparently. is there such a thing as no limits? if you have a value for something, then you will have a start and end point, if you have no 'cap' you will have a value of zero, one, or non existence, mathematically.

Everything can be understood, eventually, don't you agree?

So Jesus was a proud man? Pride is one of the seven sins.

Why won't you pious assholes stop judging those of other faiths as inferior?

Just who do these "soliders" make war against? Tyranny? Child sexual abuse?

It is soon time the Catholic church cleaned up IT"s act and stopped telling the world how to behave. As far as this Christian is concerned you guys are paganism steeped in mystery under the name of Jesus, but wage war like the crusades in his name.

Stop screwing little boys and girls and maybe the rest of the world will pay attention to the legalistic bull****.
