The son of actor Kirk Douglas announced on August 16 that doctors had found a tumor in his throat and that he would undergo radiation and chemotherapy, which he has now started.

"It makes me furious they didn't detect it earlier," Zeta-Jones told People. "He sought every option and nothing was found."

"He sought every option..."

I hope he recovers fully and remains healthy, but the message in this is with unlimited resources, he managed to finally get the diagnosis. In Kanuckistan he'd still be on a waiting list.

Of course, elites like him would jump to the front of the line in a state system... revealing it is who you are, who you know... which means it is a tiered system of the worst kind.

well, i mean, yeah, you know.... i mean.... rationing is for the little people, you know?

The supposedly best capitalist health system fails a millionaire personality, and that is somehow better than a universal system? Such twisted logic explains many of the views espoused here

Not surprised Zeta-Jones is suing. She keeps a lot of tort lawyers in business.

Don't dare mention that she has had plastic surgery, either ...

Yes... he kept going to experts until the case was solved... in the Universal System you get waiting lists... and people die.

Just look at Little Britain and Kanuckistan. In K-stan the Quebec Supreme Court ruled a waiting list wasn't care... revealing the pathetic nature of Socialist Kare. Isn't government great... when they tell you to F-off... you have NO recourse. None.

Shame you couldn't open your mind wide enough to see the clarity of the picture... for it was crystal clear. Then again, my bet is you've probably never lived in a socialist country.

So does this mean she might be single soon?

So does this mean she might be single soon?
Too soon, man. Too soon.

Let her at least have a browlift in memoriam. Then she's fair game.

So, the lesson to be learned here is:

If you are reall filthy rich, private healthcare may end up working for you.

Yea. NOt sounding too appealing for anyone without millions to waste.

Do some people die on waiting lists there? Yea. People die here on waiting lists...they don't have millions.

You know, 'cause there absolutely no private health care in Canada.

Proof that it would have been detected in a universal system?

Can you prove it would not?

I can prove that there would be a higher risk of it not being detected, namely waiting lines meant he would have had to wait a while before seeing a doctor making the cancer worse before it was finally (if ever) detected.
