No war, no recession, no previous pandemic has had such a dramatic impact on emissions of CO2 over the past century as Covid-19 has in a few short months.
Multiple sources indicate we are now living through an unrivalled drop in carbon output.
It will be interesting to see when the drop in emissions, is actually reflected in the CO2 levels.Pretty amazing what a little social distancing can achieve.

Both country and city leaders as well as leading economists are acknowledging the need for and the great benefits of a green recovery.
"We therefore strongly welcome that the Heads of States and Governments on 26 March invited the Commission to start working on a comprehensive EU recovery plan integrating the green transition and digital transformation.
We call on the Commission to use the European Green Deal as a framework for this exercise and thereby to keep momentum by implementing its initiatives.
The Green Deal constitutes a new growth strategy for the EU, which is able to deliver on the twin benefits of stimulating economies and creating jobs while accelerating the green transition in a cost efficient way.
For example, the objective of climate neutrality by 2050 as well as a strong policy framework ensures a stable and forward-looking investment environment for Europe’s businesses, which is an essential precondition for green growth and job creation."
European Green Deal must be central to a resilient recovery after Covid-19
"Mayors from cities in Europe, the US and Africa held talks this week to coordinate their efforts to support a low-carbon, sustainable recovery from the crisis as national governments begin to implement huge economic stimulus packages.
Many cities have already announced measures, from hundreds of miles of new bike lanes in Milan and Mexico City to widening pavements and pedestrianising neighbourhoods in New York and Seattle."

"Our new research, based on surveys of more than 200 of the world’s most senior economists and economic officials, suggests that spending this money on climate-friendly “green” policy initiatives could not only help shift the world closer to a net-zero emissions pathway, but could also offer the best economic returns for government spending."

Does gas have an expiration date? It has been in tank for a while now.
Hard to say. I know it used to be the case that gas would separate. And, back in the 80's and before, problems developed when burning old gas like that.
Today, my understanding is that this is no longer an issue. I kind of prove it each year by firing up a lawnmower in March with the same gas in the the tank I left there back in October.
Gasoline can breakdown with contact with the air over time. if the gas tank is sealed, and near full, I think you could safely expect a year or more.Does gas have an expiration date? It has been in tank for a while now.

Human progress is dependant upon the ingenuity of humanity to solve problems. This is at some point based on the population of people who have access to the opportunity to inovate and overcome problems, to invent new technology and stuff. This requires societies which are reasonably free. Not controled from above. The opposite of how you want to world to be.
