Canadian PM Elbows Female Politician in Chest...

I appreciate that in the Middle East you're used to politics being a contact sport but here in Canada we take a much more civilized and respectful approach to democracy.

That so-called "elbow attack" is far more violent than anything that has happened in a parliament in my coutnry so I don't get that patronizing attitude you're employing, and again, he barely touched her, she was clearly exaggerating on purpose and it's embarrassing for her and for whoever attempts to use this so to bash that PM.

Enough contact was made to make the the house member grab her chest and lean toward the rail.

You heard about a thing called acting?

I don't know about "barely touched her," but i agree that some people seem to be trying to blow this out of proportion for political reasons.

The Prime Minister was petulantly impatient to get a vote in Parliament started, so he barged in, grabbed the Conservative House Leader and tried to shove him up to the Speaker's chair and in the process bowled over the MP, jabbing her in the breasts in the process while telling others to "get the **** out of the way". I'm in no position to know what a woman feels in the way of pain when jabbed in the breasts. I'm guessing it's pretty close to getting kicked in the nuts, but I don't know.

Not what I expect from my Country's political leader.

Wow, It sounds like you never saw the actual video. The NDP members were trying to delay the Conservative House Leader from getting to his seat. The Prime Minister got pissed at these antics. He left his seat (something he should not have done). He lead the House Leader through the throng and in doing so accidently elbowed one of the NDP members involved in the antics.

Later he sought her out to apologise but she had left the chambers.

You can choose to support whatever party you like but try not to view everything through a lens that distorts reality so drastically.

To me the NDP and their leader in particular have come out of this far too unscathed.

That being said, the whole incident has been blown way out of propotion. unparliamentary? perhaps. A case for criminal or civil action? that is laughable.

So you know for certain it was acting? Your partisan slip is showing.

I am as much of a partisan about Canadian politics as you are about Estonian ones mate, so who's partisan slip is showing here exactly?

The opposition was blocking access to the house on a vote on assisted dying, a deadline imposed by the Supreme Court. It was a shoddy tactic, and Trudeau has apologized profusely. But of course that won't be enough.

Hunky Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau is in big trouble after he appeared to elbow a female member of parliament in the chest and “manhandle” several others during a testy conflagr-eh?-tion in the Canadian House of Commons.

I wonder why everyone is ignoring the childish actions of Tom Mulcare. He and an associate deliberately block a member from his seat, then Mulcare, starts yelling at Trudeau.

This isn't the great scandal it's being made out to be, there is a history of members losing it, including Brian Mulroney on more than one occasion. The two benches are set exactly two sword lengths apart, in British Parliamentary tradition, for a reason.

I can't see that he actually touched her at all-- other bodies blocking view of his elbow and her tits.

And if he did elbow her not sure if he did it on purpose.

True, blown out of proportion. But consider the week before, Friday i believe when the opposition was planning to call for a vote, IIRC C6??, Liberals were almost caught short handed.
Lesson learned.
In the end the PM was wrong. Is it what some make it out to be, no. But he should not do this again.

He obviously is unaware who he made contact with, there is no indication there was intent.

But this sort of thing is piling on. If he had not IMMEDIATELY apologized on the record, yeah, I would say people have an issue. Unlike his predecessor, Trudeau has the humility to admit when he's wrong.

If the apology is not accepted, then its the Tories and socialists who hold a grudge, and gee, what a surprise THEY would hold a grudge. Trudeau has pushed both parties out of the margin, the only good press any of them have had is the NDP when Mulcare was fired.

DP is also all about piling on with some of the folks. Not a bad thing really, because it exposes them.

Good point!

They don't have to do that here any longer....the Republicans just roll over for all the douchebag ideas that the Democrats come up with. They might make a weak protest...then turn around and vote in favor of the lame idea. Boner was good for that, the worthless drunk!

Another falsehood, but being from Montreal I'm sure you're just trying to be very protective of your favourite son.

I am not even from Montreal. All I doing is stating my opinion based on the facts.

This is ground for impeachment.

Yes, of course, the ideology that claims to support women and claims that the opposing ideology has a war on women is the ideology that immediately blames the woman for the crass and ignorant behavior of one of theirs. Sure, the female NDP member is at fault for standing in the spot she rightfully occupied. Sure, the NDP members were at fault for "blocking" the conservative whip even though the conservative whip was in no rush to go anywhere and when the Prime Minister grabbed his arm he immediately told him to let go and he didn't and proceeded to frog march him through the crowded floor to the front of Parliament. Sure, the Prime Minister who likes to display his boxing ability, his push up prowess, his yoga feats of strength for his adoring sycophants is blameless because that huge 110 lb female MP wouldn't get out of his highness's way even when swore at and so she deserved to be elbowed in the breasts by the manly boxer.

And now, fittingly, the Liberal sycophants are flooding the victim's email, facebook, office phone lines with vicious comments telling her to resign and she's a baby and she makes females look bad, etc. all to save the ignorant POS we have for a Prime Minister, and you're just dandy with all of that, I'm sure.

I know - the woman had it coming, right? Solid, traditional defense for most assaults.

And of course his apology is enough - the fact he's been exposed as a prick is all that's necessary and now all the world is aware and that's perfect.

Unfortunately, Prime Minister Trudeau won't be in any trouble because Liberals, small L and capital L, are shameless and ignore any criticism of themselves.

It would be nice if the young lady MP in this case filed charges of assault against him. And following that, a civil suit would be nice as well. Take the arrogant asshole through the wringer.

Utter nonsense, he accidentally hit her in the chest when he turned around and this lady was standing very close to him. A total accident, nothing intentional and a fake attack on Trudeau.

Yes, of course, another who thinks a rampaging Liberal Prime Minister is blameless and the damn woman had it coming because she was standing too close. Maybe she wanted to be raped too, he's so irresistible, right?

Did I say he was blameless? He should not have tried to move that MP to his place so that the proceedings could continue in parliament. What is utter nonsense is that it was intentional, it was accidental and it is ridiculous to suggest that she filed assault charges on him.

Stop smoking what ever you are smoking, it is making you see things that do not exist

The minute the Prime Minister left his seat to strong arm a fellow MP into a position the Prime Minister wanted, all consequences of his actions were intentional.

You should be a defense attorney for drunk drivers because not a single one of them feels the consequences of their actions were intentional.
