Did Trump have a plan at all except to play the virus down? I did not hear of any plan from Trump and he still has no plan to control the spread of the virus. The Governors look to the Experts at the CDC with the backing of the rest of the executive branch in the case of an infectious disease. Where was that backing and why was it so lacking? Do you think Governors should be epidemiologists too? That takes us back to the only "plan" Trump really has, to play the virus down, make outrageous statements about phony "cures" and vaccines that are RSN and tell everyone that children don't get Covid 19 and can't spread it either. And that gentlemen is why we have the highest death count in the world from the virus.

What I did say was that I preferred to use the numbers generated by people who are in the business of producing accurate data lists and have been for some time over the numbers generated by someone whose credentials (and credibility) I didn't know.

He's getting data from similar sources other stats sites are using. He was on the news in the early days of the pandemic because he was one of the few who at that time set something like this up.

It takes me around one hour per day to prepare each day's charts and graphs - even though the mathematical analysis takes place automatically. I deal with one source and about 10 geographic areas. I am more than happy to agree that there are other people who can do such things faster than I can (mainly because I'm an old fashioned manual code pounder), so I don't say that he can't do in 24 hours the same sort of work on 20 times the number of areas.

All I do say is that I'm more likely to prefer the data collection of a known and known to be reliable source which is in the business of correctly and accurately presenting aggregated data.

PS - I rather suspect that if someone were to prepare the same charts and do the same analysis that I do but using Mr (and I thank you for the indication of gender so that I can avoid the rather awkward Mr/s) Schiffmann's data that they patterns there would be so close to identical to the ones which my mathematical analysis of the data from Worldometer produce that you wouldn't really be able to tell the difference.

Almost all dictators are habitually portrayed wearing either:

• incredibly plain clothes that appear to be within the financial reach of the average citizen;

The first chart shows both unadjusted and normalized value for the Canadian numbers. The normalized values show what the number of cases and the number of deaths if Canada had

1. done what it did do to combat COVID-19;
   *
   and
   *
2. the same size population as the US has.

You might notice (now that someone brings it to your attention) that the Canadian normalized values are "slightly" better than the US ones.

The second chart does the same as the first, but includes more than the three countries in the first one.

Surprisingly enough, the US still doesn't come off all that well - especially when you consider the "Chance of Dying vs USA" column.

The third chart shows the chance of dying from COVID-19 and also considers the various areas relative per capita abilities to pay for fighting COVID-19 and the per capita amounts that the various areas pay to support their healthcare establishments.

Surprisingly enough, the US still doesn't come off all that well - especially when you consider the "Chance of Dying vs USA" column.

Quite frankly, if I were living in the US, I'd be VERY concerned over the fact that the US simply is NOT getting the "bang for the medical buck" that is should be getting and I would start asking some very serious question of the people who have spent the past 50 years telling Americans that they have the best healthcare system in the whole world.
