It took time for Canada to wake up to the fact that it got kicked in its scrotum by Biden.

See, Biden did not only hurt the American workers, he also hurt Canadas workers.

Can they ever trust the USA again? Will they trust Biden and why would they?

So now cons care what Canadians think?

This is a new development.
Conservatives don't really care what Canadians think, but conservatives haven't gone out of their way to **** Canadians like the Democrats did while they were ****ing Americans.

As insightful as the moon being made of cheese.

I hate to rain on your parade but many Canadians actually support the cancellation of the Keystone XL project. As long as Canada gets fair compensation, like it gave American investors when the Trans Mountain Pipeline System project was cancelled by Canadian political realities and then bought out by our government at great expense to mollify American backers. With fair compensation many Canadians will be satisfied. Some in Alberta will still be hopping mad, but that compensation money can be used to diversify the Alberta economy and smooth some ruffled feathers in the province.

Cheers and be well.

The whole world has to learn to trust the USA again. It won't happen quickly but it could happen now.

Mycroft:

No, that's incorrect. Mr. Trump's America First Trade Wars hurt Canada badly and his behaviour concerning a new trade deal, his interference in contracted mask deliveries to Canada during the Covid-19 crisis and his monumental stupidity in managing the pandemic in America have hurt our country and have cost Canadians lives and jobs. Conservatives do not give a rat's ass about your northern neighbour and have routinely done great harm to the bilateral relationship. So have Democratic governments, so your all peas in a pod from outside your polarised political fishbowl in many Canadians' eyes.

Cheers and be well.

If Canadians think the pipeline is such a good idea they can build one through Canada.

LOL!!

What a load of bullshit! Now, Trump isn't only responsible for every COVID death in the US, he's responsible for Canadian COVID deaths and jobs?

Jesus Christ, Evilroddy...can't you take responsibility for ANYTHING???

Sorry, dude...your butt-hurt blame Trump/US attitude is DISMISSED!

You would be sitting in mile long gas lines if it weren't for the pipelines in the USA.
The keystone pipeline oil was never going to the American market. It was already committed to Asia. It will get to the refinery, just not through the pipeline.

Considering close proximity to the US, it's perfectly reasonable that Trump's botched COVID response affected Canada.

I thought like at least 30% stays here?

I haven't forgotten Trump's schizophrenic on-again/off-again tariffs on Canadian Aluminum and steel - and I'm certain neither have they. The fact is, most of the world recognizes that when political power changes, policies change too. It's a fact of life, and it's something investors hedge against.

I wonder how long they are going to try to milk this "issue"

The Keystone pipeline oil would be sold as the market demands, and market demands change every single day due to political and economic conditions of buyer nations.

The USA very well could be using the oil at any point in time.

It's more like "How long will the left poo poo this issue"

You know, The Job killer and all(wink)

Bullshit

Canada is responsible for Canada.

Keystone XL would divert Canadian oil from refineries in the Midwest to the Gulf Coast where it can be refined and exported. Many of these refineries are in Foriegn Trade Zones where oil may be exported to international buyers without paying U.S. taxes. And that is exactly what Valero, one of the largest potential buyers of Keystone XL's oil, has told its investors it will do. The idea that Keystone XL will improve U.S. oil supply is a documented scam being played on the American people by Big Oil and its friends in Washington DC.
