Canada has no border except the US. How should Canada share the migration pressure from America's southern border?

If the US would enforce laws requiring companies to use E verify then the number of illegal workers would drop drastically. The check should allow the government to cross reference if people are working multiple jobs across multiple locations in the country. Combine that with fining employers of illegal workers and the majority of the work would be done. The only woek left would be day labour positions with cash payouts. Certainly not enough of those jobs to keep millions working

At which point the US could introduce a Temp Foreign Worker program that allows employes to apply to bring in temp workers for a period of a few months. Where the workerst would pay taxes, gain some rights as workers to have a safe work place and a minimum wage level.

The employer would have to prove all employees brought in under this program have flight tickets home

That would help. As you say those laws already exist so there must be powerful interests keeping them from being generally enforced. Migration from south to north incentive is not primarily economic anymore but quality of life as in , food-shelter-safety, their home is no longer tenable. They are more refugees than just looking for a better paying job.

All right nobody wants to talk about this. Migration of people will continue from the south to the north. There is no acceptable solution except assimilating them into our society in the best way possible. We are a big country. It will be beneficial.
