I think Americans have been talking about guns for a long time now. Maybe you just don't like where the conversation tends to go.
People wonder, not unreasonably, why they should give up their guns when they did nothing wrong. Telling them it regains "sanity" is a little insane IMO."From my cold dead hands!" is where it usually goes. How many more have to die before sanity is regained?
Do we need to keep complaining the other side is fomenting violence by saying an election was stolen or the other guy is a threat to democracy? Do we have to be responsible for what all the nutjobs do?
Or do we JUST NEED TO KEEP NUTJOBS FROM GETTING GUNS.

Won't matter. In America protecting weapons over humans is a way of life.
Everyone can just stay home and shut up so the guns can flow freely. Ridiculous hobby.
Wow, try much harder at smack. That's 3rd grade. And you love writing stupid posts that lack any substance.
Everyone needs a hobby.

But I would say if you're seeking "smack" responses, go elsewhere or bring something more than third grade babble about bang sticks.
Wanna talk about my proposal for universal criminal background checks as a requirement for possessing a gun or motor vehicle? I'm inclined to consider an electric bicycle as a motor vehicle. How about you?

Keep lowering the bar with dumb posts. You excel at thatYou aren't interested in discussing gun control proposals, yet here you are in the Guns and Gun Control forum.
So were you wanting recommendations on a brand of AR type rifle or something?

My idea is that they be as unobtrusive as possible for the law abiding, while being an obstacle to the criminally inclined.
My basic model is much like my state's background checks for private sales. The buyer and seller enter the buyer's basic identification info into a website operated by the state police, or telephone them with it. The police do the background check and either deny the sale or provide a verification number indicating the buyer is not a prohibited person.
The seller keeps that number and info about the sale in his own records for a period of time. 10 years in my state.
How do you feel about universal, criminal background checks as a requirement for possessing guns and motor vehicles?
