Ultimately, history will not be kind to Trump, and even less kind to his cult followers. The GOP knows that the House investigation into January 6th is going to start soon. I do not know who much of the video evidence of what happened at the Capital has been seen by Trump followers on Fox and Newsmax and other right wing media, so I do not know if Trump followers have been given any kind of view of the violence that occurred. So can the GOP and Trump's cronies actually convince a majority of Trump followers that there is nothing there to be seen and that the investigation is nothing but political?

We've already gotten the "it's just a kegger that got out of hand" thing. They've already convinced themselves that it was no big deal. The GOP knows that the House investigation into January 6th is going to start soon. Just show the Trumpers this picture. If that doesn't do it, nothing will:The GOP knows that the House investigation into January 6th is going to start soon. Ah, a January 6th truthier here for sure. Over a hundred policemen injured, some still not back at work due to their injuries. The rioters were yelling stop the steal, which if you read the definition would be an insurrection, and hang Mike Pence. And only true trumpsters would believe it was just a disturbance. People with a working brain cell know it ws a riot.It was a big kerfuffle, true.
But if you keep exaggerating, saying it was a "commotion" or a "disturbance," a lot of people will roll their eyes.
There was property damage, police getting assaulted, trespass, but not much that doesn't go on in any big demonstration.
.
An attempted coup of our representatives. It was a big kerfuffle, true.

80% of voters will roll their eyes at any downplaying of the insurgency at the Capitol. An attempted coup of our representatives.
The purpose of the investigation is not to "convince" anyone. An investigation is useless and will convince no one who does not already recognize the insurrection as an insurrection.
True, the reason for the investigation is to find out "everyone" who was behind the riot and how to insure it does not happen again. The purpose of the investigation is not to "convince" anyone.
Clearly, you do not know the meaning of “kerfuffle”.It was a big kerfuffle, true.
More words that you clearly do not know the meanings of.But if you keep exaggerating, saying it was a "commotion" or a "disturbance," a lot of people will roll their eyes.
A shameful, absurd conflation of events and significance. There was property damage, police getting assaulted, trespass, but not much that doesn't go on in any big demonstration.
Many of the deluded fools believe the bat shit crazy, violent Trumpsters involved are patriots. The Trump supporters do not believe it was immoral or illegal.
You can not teach stupid and Trump supporters show how true that is!!The Trump supporters do not believe it was immoral or illegal.
You are right the Trumpers don't, although I think what is even worse is the Republicans in leadership who know darn well what really happened and yet promote the "no big deal" narrative. So much for the law and order narrative......they can place that one where the sun don't shine! The Trump supporters do not believe it was immoral or illegal.
They don't have to convince them of that. They just need to convince them that any dishonest, criminal and immoral acts that Trump is proven guilty of are part of a "Deep State" conspiracy. The rest follows naturally. Be it the insurrection, his financial crimes, his abuse of power, obstruction of justice... anything.... They just make up a Conspiracy Theory and... they're done. The GOP knows that the House investigation into January 6th is going to start soon.
