I know people can bring up history, however considering this isnt invasions of countries rather people from different cultures coming into an already established society,Is that actually such thing as an exceptance of other peoples cultures or is it simply they ether become assimilated to the existing culture or they seperate themselves from that culture and carry on outside of that?

I would say that it depends on the circumstances the immigrant faces when he comes into the new society as much as anything. For example, if the immigrant is the first of his culture arriving into the new society, he has no choice but to try to assimilate into the new society. His survival depends on it. As subsequent immigrants of his culture arrive in the new society, they, at first, are faced with the same situation as the first, but at some point the need to assimilate is not so strong. Little enclaves begin to form. It's only human nature for like cultures to prefer to live together. By this time many in these little enclaves have no need to assimilate. These little enclaves at some point become "Little Cultures". It's possible to function totally within these "Little Cultures" with very little contact with the new society. When the numbers of the immigrants become vast they are not going to assimilate at all. They don't need to and are more comfortable within their own culture. So for the most part they won't assimilate. They will also expect the new society to adjust to them.
