So I just got netflix back.

I have a beauty of a TV (60" HD all the way) and of course I want to watch the best quality stuff on it.

So the issue I'm having on Netflix is that all the HD movies go HD like they're suppose to.

But none of the TV shows in HD turn to HD.

Does anyone have any idea why that would be the case?

Seems rather odd.

Image quality is dependant on connection speed and often it maxes out at a 4:3 480p standard rather than a 16:9 1080p.

Some of their TV shows just aren't HD.

For sure.

Again the weird issue is that movies stream perfectly in HD but TV shows refuse to.

I've changed the preferences as well to highest quality on my account.

Were the TV shows aired in HD and does Netflix say they have an HD option for them? I have Netflix as well and for me I've noticed that if there is some kind of lag in connection the quality changes. Are you using a console to stream it or your computer?

I tell you, I get so angry when I go out and buy a Bluray - especially replacing a DVD that I already own with the Bluray version - and it's still not crisp and clear.
