Why does this teacher even care if her students worship gays or not? Sorta an odd ritual to go through even though she suggested it as voluntary while removing the traditional flag.

Another "I hate gay people" thread by dirtpoorchris, eh?

And as usual, it isn't what he claims. Teacher had removed flag from classroom during Pandemic. Now they're back. They do the pledge over the PA. But true to the 1st, nobody has to stand or pledge. Kid asks where to look during the pledge, teachers says "we do have a flag", kid points at pride flag. Whoopdee do.

Leave it to chris to try to change that to "worship gays".

Show us on the doll where the gay people touched you.

It's a strange concept in the first place, having children pledge allegiance to a flag.

Why is it strange? Stranger that the teacher took the American flag out of her room. Kids don't have to pledge allegiance but here's a quote from the O/P that explains this particular school's policy regarding the flag.

"We are aware of this incident and are investigating. While we do not discuss employee related matters, we can tell you that showing respect and honor for our nation’s flag is a value that we instill in our students and an expectation of our employees. We take matters like this seriously and will be taking action to address it," public relations officer for the district, Annette Franco"

The average suburban kid, how many times has he recited that pledge before he knew what the words mean?
What's the point, anyway?

I quoted the point of having the flag in the room; respect and honor for our nation’s flag is a value that we instill in our students

Kids are no longer required to say the pledge but when the teacher leads the pledge, the student is required to stand, and see bolded quote again.

According to the teacher, I guess so...

I see no legitimate reason as to why the teacher would remove the American flag from her classroom.
There is room for both flags to be displayed. Nobody made her remove the Pride flag. It's that she decided to replace the American flag, (against school policy) with the Pride flag that is suspect.

When it becomes a daily ritual to repeat a memorized script, it becomes pretty meaningless.

Ok, so I have a mod instigating and ridiculing me in my own thread and I cant add him to ignore list because he is a mod. Can the site owner take care of this?

Meanwhile if the teacher made the students worship a flag of no-homosexuals pledge all the leftists would want the teacher secretly killed. But the teacher makes them worship a flag to homosexuality and I'm attacked by leftists on this board instead. How about keep your sexual shit out of school? Both hetero and homo.

As I said above, no child is required to say the pledge. What don't you understand about the child having a choice?

I agree its strange but making kids pledge to homosexuality is even stranger.

What don't you understand about an exercise in rote memorization being pointless?

What you think might be pointless others might consider important.
What don't you understand about giving a child the choice to recite the pledge?

Don't you like public school children to have choices?

It's a stupid waste of time.

So the daily indoctrination of your children is to worship a piece of cloth.

You're not them, nor are you in charge of making their school's policy regarding respect for the flag and giving the children the choice to say or not to say the pledge. Let's suppose you had a child in said school, what would you have your child do?

Leave it solely to the child, or instruct them to stand for the flag and remain silence?

Isn't it wonderful that parents and their children maintain legitimate choice?
