I went and spoke at the meeting last night, and I can tell you these forums are nothing more than let the public vent, then go right ahead with their plan. THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY IN REDDING AND SHASTA COUNTY ARE NOT BEING MET NOW. Response from CDC, “It’s your own people. It’s people that are going to be here anyway,” Interesting response since they depend so heavely on non profits and churches to be a part of this plan. Quote "They can hook up these folks to services in the community": What services? I give out the same list of services to folks at Loaves and Fishes these other "services " do, and so often they come back saying none of them can help me,what will make this any different ?? I had a man come in last week in tears saying nobody will hire him because he is a Felon. The biggest farce, the CDC woman in her speech said these people will find jobs, will find housing oppon release here !?!?! If there are so many wonderfull church and non profit programs, why havent they marched right up to our present jail facility to prevent recidivism, house, and find employment for these folks now ?

Um, you linked to your own post in another forum. That's not only against Breaking News rules, it's lame.

Moderator's Warning:
*BN* violation. Moved to a more appropriate forum.

The Only Lame Thing IS PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO WOULD FAULT ME FOR TRYING TO GET TRAFIC TO HELP FEED POOR PEOPLE. I dont get paid a dime for what I do, and im sure you never give a dime to help buster. May you always grow like an onion with your face towards the ground :2wave:Mamzar

Moderator's Warning:
Don't blame another because you didn't read the *BN* forum rules. Another outburst like that and you'll find your thread down in the Basement.

We at DP are very proud of our site. See the ad at the top? Someone paid for that ad. What you're doing is trying to advertise for free. Not happening.

Also, what the heck does the onion thing mean?

While your aims may be admirable, there is a certain protocol that must be adhered to.
We can't all just post whatever we want wherever we want.
It would be chaos. A well-ordered political forum doesn't work that way.
You won't get anywhere bucking the system like that.

Could you start over and explain to us calmly, in layman's terms, what it is that you're after, and what- if anything- we can do to assist you with it?

A prison re-entry facility seems to have some purpose of orienting convicts before returning to society - California Comprehensive Prison Reform.

Which issue RLF is attempting to raise is unclear; perhaps it is monetary, including too little too late.
