Uhhh, you do realize that Reagan's inept policies resulted in the Bush 1 recession, which Clinton solved by raising taxes on the top bracket.
Reagan also left the Iraqi mess, having armed Saddam (amazing how many criminals Reagan armed), and Clinton fixed that with sanctions and air strikes. Then Bush II arived and spent $3T to kill Reagan's creation and let Iran take over the region, another country Reagan armed! And of course 9-11 was in the wings, fueled by jihadist in Afghanistan, amazingly also armed by Reagan.
With Clinton it "was the economy, stupid" Don't you remember the campaign? Bush 1 burned up all of Reagans "stimulus spending" and we went into recession. Just like every Republican President before and after. Republicans and recessions are like 2 peas in a pod.
The economy was the healthiest after Reagans administration than it had been for years! Unemployment went from 7% to 4%. Inflation went from 10% to 4%. During Reagan's administration, the economy went from a GDP growth of -0.3% in 1980 to 4.1% in 1988. Is that a recession??
According to a 1996 study by William A. Niskanen and Stephen Moore:[33] On 8 of the 10 key economic variables examined, the American economy performed better during the Reagan years than during the pre- and post-Reagan years. Real median family income grew by $4,000 during the Reagan period after experiencing no growth in the pre-Reagan years; it experienced a loss of almost $1,500 in the post-Reagan years. Interest rates, inflation, and unemployment fell faster under Reagan than they did immediately before or after his presidency. The only economic variable that was worse in the Reagan period than in both the pre- and post-Reagan years was the savings rate, which fell rapidly in the 1980s. The productivity rate was higher in the pre-Reagan years but lower in the post-Reagan years

Hmmm…
Reagans "magic" consisted of interest rate cuts and stimulus spending that increased the deficit by record amounts. It worked for a while but look where it led.
After 8 years of a failed GOP governor, looks like things are finally starting to turn around in the Golden State under Governor Jerry Brown's leadership.eace
Hoover creates a mess, FDR has to clean up.
Reagan/Bush Senior create a mess, Clinton has to clean up.
Dumbya Bush Jr. creates a mess, Obama has to clean up.
Arnold creates a mess, Jerry Brown has to clean up.

Yeah, not a very good movie. But some pretty girls in it.
Point is, the economy grew under Reagan because of stimulus, and you oppose stimulus.
Now, most of his stimulus went to the military, which is a poor way to create jobs, as all studies show, but you're stuck praising Reagan for what Obama has done better.
I guess that answers why you dont know much about current events.
Your bashing Reagan for something he did that worked and praising Obama for something he is doing on a much larger scale that so far, hasnt worked....
Are you refering to Bush's disastrous Wide Reciever gun walking scandal that GOP senators supported even thought it lead to the direct deaths of several ATF agents and dozens of Mexican civilians?
More tea party talking points.
Stimulus works. It works better if you invest in infrastructure, not in the dead weight of miliary spending. Every economic analysis reaches that conclusion.
But at least you've admitting that Reagan was right to pursue stimilus, which means your objections to Obama's stimulus are bad faith ugly tea party memes, not to be taken seriously.
