America is facing 'time-bomb' explosion of millions of 'super pigs' that can reproduce at just three months old, grow up to 400lbs and destroy thousands of square miles of farms and livestock

California is totally anti hunter, so they pay professionals millions to kill and trap the pigs, rather than allow a pig season open to licensed hunters. So meanwhile they are destroying grassy slopes as erosion washes the uprooted topsoil away.

Pretty soon they will be taking up residence in San Fran poop co.

Florida is rather clear they want anyone and everyone to kill every feral pig/hog you see - no license required. No limit. They are an extremely environmentally destructive species that reproduces at an incredible rate.

I use to hunt boar on Catalina Island in California during the 1970s and 1980s. The pigs were introduced to Catalina Island during the 1930s specifically for the purpose of hunting them. Then in 1996 California decided to completely eradicate them.

I moved to Alaska in 1991, and while there are a few feral pigs around the Fairbanks area (Game Management Unit 20), but they are not very numerous.

Before we realized the harm transplanted critters could do, we use to import all kinds of critters that are not native to Alaska. Like raccoons, red fox, musk ox, reindeer, and elk, to name a few. Most of this took place during the 1920s and 1930s. We even transplanted humans from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan to Alaska during the 1930s as part of the New Deal Pioneers of the Matanuska Colony.
