So why dont your wonderful democrat politicians solve California's problems, instead of going hat in hand to the Feds? Maybe you need to get rid of your rotten Governor, and the democrat in your state legislature.

About 13 million

That's about equivalent to the # 5 most populated state in our union ILLINOIS(Oh ****!)

Do you know what "the American GDP" is? it seems like you think it's some big bucket of money we use to feed the poor and starving widows and orphans.

It's not, actually. GDP is the value of goods and services produced in a region. If Ed Begley JR buys a $400 haircut the California GDP goes up by $400 how does a guy in Ohio benefit?

California having a high GDP is not an argument for people in Ohio bailing out California, it's an argument they have the ability to solve their own problems. Places that can't produce goods and services need charity.

I'll just stop there...because I know the only reason this is a thing is because, well, partisanship, and nothing to do with how high GDP states help America...which, if you think about it, is only just one way California is more important than all those flyover states that like to talk smack about it.

California a democratic run state, makes bad decisions both financial and academic, they can't seam to learn from other states who use control burning to prevent large deadly forest fires from destroying life and property, now they want to be bailed out for their stupidity. my suggestion to the people in California get out while you can don't continue living in a state with such a mindless track record. If your point is about Federal income tax, feel free to make a coherent point about Federal income tax. Instead of an incoherent point about GDP.

Not at all, CA is glad to pay our share. I'm saying let us just pay that, the leftovers would provide a dramatic increase in services for CA.
