Police, who have just raided the home of Tan Nguyen, the Republican candidate, are treating this as a case of voter intimidation, which is a crime in California. Those Hispanic immigrants who were targeted by the letter were naturalized citizens of the US, and all had recently registered to vote. Nguyen denies any involvement and has fired a staffer. However, the Republican party believes he knew about it, and is demanding that he withdraw from the race.

Now I have seen a lot of instances here where Bush supporters have tried to say that corrupt officials have been doing the right thing when they havent. However, I have to give the GOP credit on this one. They ARE doing the right thing. Hats off to the California GOP.
