CAA Drops Marilyn Manson After Evan Rachel Wood’s Abuse Allegations; Follows Ax From ‘American Gods’ And ‘Creepshow’

"CAA has dropped Marilyn Manson as a client, sources told Deadline on Tuesday, a day after allegations of sexual and emotional abuse made by Evan Rachel Wood were followed by similar claims by other women.

The news comes after the singer and actor was dropped by his music label, and his performances in upcoming episodes of Starz’s American Gods and Shudder’s Creepshow would be scrubbed.

Manson in a statement Monday said the claims are “horrible distortions of reality.”

CAA had no comment today."


Ok this firing people from their job based on a accusation is starting to get out of hand. The label even says "Manson was accused of something so we are dropping him and standing with the victim" I have seen many many things from Marylin Manson over 30 years and hes actually a really really smart and nice guy. I dont believe victim what so ever this time. I think he said something to piss her off and she just wants career revenge. She never goes on to explain how he groomed her or abused her. She just says thats what happened and now his whole career is over. And I, for one second, dont believe her.

Well, your post shows a lot of the problem with how many are irrational and biased against victims. You think because you like the film you have watched of Manson, you can know he's a "nice guy" in ways that mean he couldn't mistreat people. That is deluded. Bill Cosby seemed like a nice guy when you watched him, too. Of course the prosecutor thought like you, and declined to press any charges against Cosby. But then he was defeated, and the new prosecutor did charge Cosby and the truth came out and Cosby is in jail. The prosecutor who wouldn't charge Cosby is one of the two lawyers who is now representing trump in the impeachment. The issue of justice in these things is a legitimate topic, and you clearly have nothing to offer in that discussion as you show irrational bias, leaping to false assumptions.

I have been a fan of his since the days when the band was called Marilyn Manson and he just refereed to himself as Mr. Manson. While I do agree that maybe his label is jumping the gun on this, and he is highly inteligent, he does have a dark side, and he is still one to indulge quite a bit with drugs and alcohol. Not saying he did it, but it woudn't surpise me if he did either.

How do you groom an adult? She was 18. Funny how this hits right as he gots a new album dropping after talking shit about her. And now suddenly she comes out with this? Hrmmm perfect timing. I think that his previous employer is now treating him as a monster based on 1 accusation from a jilted lover. She seemed to have no problem playing a character that got raped and beat up all season 1 in Westworld. I think shes straight up lying, personally.
