I'm not sure this endorsement by the Communist Party of the United States of America HELPS Democrats. As of today, the CPUSA website still shows that same picture and same caption. It would be hard to envision the Communist Party's wind at Obama's back being a good thing.

The CPUSA has been openly supporting the democrats for years as a tactic of "fighting neoconservatism". In fact that is the majority of their work. They are nothing more than left-democrats and have been for some time.

Also, the CP only has a couple hundred members, and that's being incredibly generous, so please don't call them "the commies". There are a ton of other socialist organizations in the US, the largest probably being International Socialist Organization and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. These groups have several thousand members.

The CP is a completely irrelevant group of a few dozen left-democrats.

Do you have a link with membership numbers? Last I saw was the CPUSA was under 2,000 members. (see link)

No, these organizations don't release membership numbers except in general terms for propaganda purposes. However I know for a fact that their "official" figures which are usually quoted in the thousands is massively inflated. They include in their "official" membership figures the membership of the Young Communist League, which is basically a separate organization, as well as anyone that fills out the form either on the CP or YCL website. I know from firsthand experience that these groups are incredibly small.

They are not supported by almost anyone, still they claim to represent the workers and other groups that are mayorities. They don't know their own society.

I wonder who alien abductees vote for.
