Bush's back rub in Cyberspace. (1 Viewer)

I gotcha:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060721...rwAuQWs0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTA3cjE0b2MwBHNlYwM3Mzg-

A 5-second video and series of photographs recently posted on YouTube.com and various blogs show Bush surprising Merkel at the G-8 Summit by quickly rubbing the back of her neck and shoulders. The chancellor immediately hunches her shoulders, throws her arms up and grimaces, though she appears to smile as Bush walks away.

There are times when I'm so embarrassed for the man that I actually feel sorry for him.

I saw the video on The Daily Show. Rather awkward for Bush to say the least. Bush's biggest problem is that he seems to think that everyone on earth thinks and acts just like Texans.

If only that were the case, as the world would be a MUCH better place.

Actually, it would only be a much more polluted place. ;)

NEW YORK - An impromptu back rub that President Bush gave German Chancellor Angela Merkel is now massaging millions of funny bones.

Like Bush's closed-door G-8 meeting, a speech by Stevens was once unlikely to reach many people. But now sites like YouTube can strike anytime, anywhere.

Even when you're getting a massage.

Or perhaps he simply could not care about reading story.

No one seems to have answered my question.

Could this be viewed as SEXUAL HARASSMENT?

Not unless you're over the top sue happy in my opinion. From the video it looks like he quickly stopped once she threw her hands up in the air. Bad call I suppose on his part but unless he does it all the time after she's expressed that she doesn't like it I don't think it's too big a deal. Some people are warmer than others. Some people hate to be touched period. As long as he respects her expression of distaste it's not an issue.

Probably not sexual harassment...but what on earth could possibly make him think that this was appropriate behavior for a G-8 summit?

How the Hell is this sexual harassment? U libs need to lay off the Kool-aid.

Exactly, there is a difference between a back rub and sex in the oval office.

And yet if this had been done by any Democratic President most of those who post on DP would be screaming for him/her to be impeached, would they not?
By the way I am not nor ever have, nor ever intend being a Liberal.
My Politics tend toward Republicanism, albeit with a lot more honesty than that which is currently being practised within this natural leadership party of USA.

Donkey 1499, you are probably a Republican sympathiser, one wonders whether you believe in honesty and dignity within GOP ranks, because if you do it does not come over within the DP posts.
