Recall how Bush's low poll numbers were front page, hot topic, subjects for the mainstream media the past months. As Fox and Friends noted this morning, now that they are picking up, NOTHING. Wonder why?

I don't know. But what do you think about Ney pleading guilty, Stinger??????

Bwahahhahahhahahhahha :rofl

What does that have to do with this thread? He broke the law he will now face justice. What about it?

What about the MSM ignoring the rise in Bush's poll numbers?

Because the conservative MSM is protecting him, obviously. Even a 47% rating means less than half think he's doing a good job.

The actual numbers are pretty worthless, but the change in the numbers is what we should be watching. While polling methods have some core flaws, they are carried out consistently. An approval rating of 35% means little, but a change from 35% to 47% is a substantial shift. Watch the trends, they are far more informative than the numbers.

BTW - Can you explain why this isn't on the front page of my local paper? When the President's ratings were dropping, it was front page news, but rising approval ratings don't rate an mention .

How is not reporting a substantial increase in his approval rating, up to where most Presidents achieve, protecting him. Pure folly on your part.

I saw 36% Monday. Is that supposed to be good and newsworthy?

Soldiers are gettig killed in Iraq. We have found bodies in Iraq that were tortured. Bush is trying to push through a bill that allows torturing detainees.

There are LOTS more important things than Bush's popularity.

According to Iriemon, that's because the "conservative media" is protecting Bush. You can't argue with that logic, because it takes a closed mind to think like that in the first place.

Yes, like that. Frankly, I am elated that FINALLY some republican members of Congress refuse to give Bush a rubber stamp.

Irie is a liberal, that means he has an open mind - way, way open.

Here is the funny thing. Rasmussen Reports never had Bush below 40. Check it out for yourselves. Maybe that is why you aren't hearing much about it Stinger. The site touts itself for getting one election right. The sun shines on a dog's as.s somedays too.

A seven point swing, with the same trend being shown in other polls. What if he had been a 40 and dropped to 33. Think the MSM would have reported it?

I saw the report of this in the MSM. In fact, they didn't even point out that this pollster never had him below 40 that I saw. It makes people think that there is a 15 point difference, not 7. Polling 1500 people is not really a sample I would take to the bank.

Really? Where I'd like to see how the reported it.

I haven't see that but the fact remains a 7 point swing is huge and had it been the other way the MSM would have had it thier lead story.

First of all, I am not a criminal. Second of all, it's amazing to me that rather than address the person who I mentioned, instead, you talk about democrats. What that tells me is that you have nothing you can say in defense of Ney, so you attack those on the left. It's rather sad.

I was not talking about you...I was talking about the crooked dems.......You do notice that the dems don't use the "Culture of Corruption" slogan any more..............I wonder why......

I can't deend Ney............He is a crook and to his credit he resigned........When are Mollahan, Jefferson, Kennedy Jr. going to do the same??????

Hallalujah! The gutless wonders in the Democratic party are finally finding their Pair and the "free thinkers" of the GOP are finally blowing with the political wind. Boy, it seems to take forever before the will of the American people filters through the Bull**** screen and these REPRESENTATIVES live up to their promise to do the bidding of their constituents. This is STILL America (sort of).

Bring Em' Home NOW! :2wave:

When you said "People that live in glass houses should not throw stones............", the only person who threw the stone in this case was me. I have not seen any democrats on the hill commenting on this. But, yes, I knew you weren't implying I was a criminal.

They ahve started a new slogan. It's called "A New Direction for America." It's described in here. I want Nancy Pelosi out. Ewwwwwwww.

Democrats Meander in a New New Direction

By Dana Milbank
Friday, September 15, 2006; Page A02

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, the woman who will become speaker of the House if Democrats get lucky in November, began her weekly news conference yesterday holding up a red-white-and-blue brochure.

"I hope you all received 'A New Direction for America,' " she said, standing at a lectern that bore the same slogan. She called the manifesto "a compilation of many of the initiatives taken by our House Democratic Caucus that encompasses our new direction for all Americans." . . .

When the evidence mounts against them and they can no longer say they are innocent. That only applies to Mollahan and Jefferson.

Culture of Corruption, Culture of Corruption. There. I've said it and I'm glad. ;)

I'll glad stack the mole hill of Mollahan, Jefferson, Kennedy Jr. against the mountain of corruption in the GOP.
