Well if President Bush is not satisfied then shouldn't some heads roll? Or at least someone's head should roll? Shouldn't President Bush take personal-responsibility and resign? Shouldnt someone resign?

Is this all just too much common-sense to ask?

WASHINGTON — Defeating the Iraq insurgency "remains crucial" to the United States and the stability of the Middle East, President Bush said this morning, as he again defended his administration's policies and pledged continued support for the struggling Iraqi government.

"The events of the last month have been a serious concern to me and a serious concern to the American people," Bush said at a White House news conference less tan two weeks before the midterm elections.

Noting that 93 Americans and scores of Iraqis have died in fighting this month in Iraq, the president said U.S. troops would continue to change strategy as needed to support the nation's government. "I know many Americans are not satisfied with the situation in Iraq," Bush said. "I'm not satisfied, either."

"We cannot allow our dissatisfaction to turn into disillusionment about the purpose of this war," Bush said. "If I did not think our mission in Iraq was vital to U.S. security, I'd bring our troops home tomorrow."

The news conference was called in the shadow of elections where Republicans are anxious about losing control of the House or Senate — or both...

But he also said that things were going to plan.

Borrowing money from the future Generations to fund his agenda--yea, he shouldn't be satisfied at all. Imagine you being that future generation--they won't be happy at all, pursuit of liberty and happiness will come with a tax load that will make that soundbyte--just a soundbyte.

True, of course he never said it was a good plan.

I'd be outraged even more than I already am. Annual interest expense on the debt exceeded $400 billion for the first time last year, increasing 15% more than the year before. And with the government having borrowed another 1/2 trillion dollars last year, good chance that annual waste of money to pay for the Republican debt is going to continue to grow rapidly.
