Bush denies access to aides

For some odd reason I don't find things like this surprising anymore... at all.... and the fact that no one will do anything about it either won't come as a surprise either.

More evidence that King George believes that he is above the law:

Has Schumer given access to his? Leahy?

And he actually did offer them access to his aides, just not in a formal congressional hearing, that old separation of powers thing.

What crime are they even investigating?

Just more validation that this Administration are as many have us always said they were, and that America today deserves what they've asked for. Things are going to get alot worse before enough people get pissed off for there to be a change.

As much as the Ron Paul fanboy in me feels that America needs him, the realist in me see's that America today is not an America that cares for Liberty. The more of my countrymen I get into politics with, the more of them I find wouldn't pluck a hair for liberty.

I agree, it's time we called the Dems to the carpet for their attempts to overstep their authority and interfer unconstitutionally with the executive branch. I think it's time we got Schumer's emails to see if he is using his office and powers for political gain and whether MoveON or any other groups are influencing him.

The Bush Legacy: Accountability to no one/Responsibility for nothing

Nothing that the Administration does surprises me anymore. Nor do the pathetic excuses and rebuttals that the ever-so desperate remaining Bush supporters use, such as bringing up completely unrelated things that Bill Clinton or any Democrat have done in the past. I liken the Bush Administration to a bunch of children who are doing bad things, but continue to up the ante because they haven't gotten caught yet. The question is, what more will it take?

As the old axiom goes, "If you have nothing to hide, you've got nothing to fear". Or at least that was the mantra when it came to the wiretaps.

I'm sorry but what exactly are the Democrats investigating again? What is the crime? Is congress now the head of the executive branch?

The President is accountable to his electorate not an oppostion controlled congress, don't like the separation of powers, then move to China.

He's also accountable to the taxpaying American citizens who voted him into office in the first place.

This is a matter for the courts to decide, and they will. Separation of Powers does not mean dictatorship. The President is accountable, and the courts will uphold that, just as they upheld that Nixon was also accountable. After that decision, enjoy the rest of your life living in China.

Are you referring to federal court? If you are the fix is in anyway...

It's definately time to impeach his ***.

For the first time, I am now in favor of impeachment. Until now, I saw impeachment as a waste of resources. However, that has changed. Bush clearly feels he is above the law. His oath to defend the Constitution is not worth anything more than his word itself is worth.

However, impeachment is not going to happen. Not with spineless Democrats in control of Congress. You will have to wait a year and a half to see the end of this imperial presidency.

What crime are they even investigating?

No crime. They just want evidence of their accusation that Bush had political motivations behind his political appointments of Federal prosecuters. The HORROR!!!

There is no question that the prosecutors were fired because they were not towing the administrations "no accountability" line.

The hilarious thing is how the 5 remaining Bush Apologists love to claim "no crime" while avoiding the ethical questions that this raises.

This administration's entire history will be its legacy....do whatever it takes to smear your critics, destroy or prevent any trail to avoid accountability and accept responsibility for nothing...i.e....pass the buck.....and when things start getting tight....divert....Blame Clinton.

Bush has proven himself to be a war criminal and a liar. His word is ****, his running mate is neo-connazi and together they have sold this country to the highest bidder. It's time for them to be removed from the white house... it's time for them to be held accountable for their actions and it's time for Halliburton to be banned from doing business in the United States.

Can you elaborate on the war crimes you are refering to? Who bought this country? Who would you rather have int e White House?

Under UN regulations, the war in Iraq is illegal and that makes those responsible for the war, war criminals.

The current administration has sold out the American public to big business' such as Halliburton, Blackwater, Microsoft, Shell Oil, Exxon/Mobile and number of other greedy, dispicable drug companies and their HMO stooges; all of whom benefit from the suffering of poor and middle class Americans.

It's time for corporate welfare to end! It's time for CEOs to be sentenced to 20+ years in prison for corporate interference in government affairs.

It's time for the wealth class to pay their fair share of taxes and let the middle class and working poor have a much needed tax break. I.E. If you earn less than $50,000 per year, you should be exempt from all state, federal, and local income taxes. <---- This will force the rich bastards that have hijacked this country to live under the conditions they have forced on the middle class and working poor for the last 100 years.

Also.... we need to do something about congressional stupidity!!! We need to chuck the current domestic violence laws as unconstitutional ... because in many cases they are exactly that.

As to a candidate, I would vote for Ralf Nader if he weren't illegally removed from the ballot. We need to have an independent candidate in the White House because doing so would effectively end big business's manipulation of the federal government.

You forgot the Warfare Industry and Construction Giants waiting after the war.

You have to fix the justice system and the politicians to make the imprisonment a viable solution. If they go in prison, its like a health spa fro them, no hardship

Also.... we need to do something about congressional stupidity!!!

Congress is not stupid, its planned. If they start sharing the dirt on washington, then they themselves with be subject to public scrutiny. The horse and pony show is just that a show, so we the public would think someone is still representing us. That is a joke.....they are in it for themselves.

You can vote for who ever you like provided that they are alive and a born a citizen. Heck you can vote for me or yourself. Just remeber voting for mickey mouse is not valid even though we might have a dopey in the white house.

This is a matter for the courts to decide, and they will.

Damn right they will and you'll be eating your humble pie because the law is quite clear in this situation.

Separation of Powers does not mean dictatorship. The President is accountable, and the courts will uphold that, just as they upheld that Nixon was also accountable. After that decision, enjoy the rest of your life living in China.

lmfao the President is not accountable to an opposition controlled Congress he is accountable to his electorate, the Congress gets no say in this matter the President has the Constitutional authority to fire any FA, at any time, and for any ****ing reason. This "investigation" is a farce and nothing more than another in along line of political witchunts perpetrated by the Democrat party.
