The dream of life, the unity of Latin America, becomes closer!
Latin nations seek unity in regional summit - CNN.com
Actually, it’s not dream now, it is reality! And as for me, I warmly welcome the initiative and I give my both thumbs up for it! Independent development of the region is exactly what we need now. I hope the “yet-to-be-named organization” will serve as an alternative to the Organization of American States indeed and finally will take its place.
Talking about the first steps, a course of independent development, independent from the US, surely, was initiated. (BTW Americans have already queried effectiveness of the organization without their participation in it …but who cares…). To continue that ‘independent’ policy, from my point, the organization in the nearest future should recognize other emergent nations, for instance, such as Abkhazia and South Ossetia – where Georgia, supported by the US, carries out the same policy of suppression and compulsion the US pursue towards the South Americas region. It seems to me that it would be a proper slap in the Washington’s face!

I think Georgia takes support more voluntarily and is a more traditional american military expansion of sorts. Anyways... VIVA!
