Bryan Adams Cancels Mississippi Show Over State's 'Religious Freedom' Law

If it weren't for a double standard, Liberals wouldn't have any standards.

Sometimes having no standards is better than having universally idiotic standards like conservatives do.

Boycotting a state that won't let a man use a women's restroom and not boycotting countries where gays are imprisoned and executed is pretty idiotic. You can't deny that.

About as idiotic as expecting to enforce a "bathroom police" law. You can't deny that.

Well, hell, let's legalize rape, murder and DUI. Can't stop them all, right?

Hmmm... comparing rape to potentially using the wrong bathroom. Logic eludes you.

We're comparing one law to another. Your argument is that the bathroom is unenforceable and that's why it shouldn't be on the books. The same could be said about any law. In not the one being eluded by logic.

Incorrect. Plenty of laws are easily enforceable. Tell me how you would enforce this bathroom law.

Easy...when someone spots a violation, they report it. Just like a burglar: a clerk sees a robbery, calls the cops.

Good. Now tell me how someone will spot a violation.

that point is hard to deny.

If it weren't for a double standard, Liberals wouldn't have any standards.

If it weren't for complaining about what liberals do, conservatives wouldn't have any political viewpoint

Good. Now tell me how someone will spot a violation.

Just say, "I'll show you mine if you show me yours." Next, you pull out your ruler, and if it's under three inches, it's a violation. That's when you request a copy of their birth certificate. If they can't present it, you call 911.

Meanwhile...

Dear Governor Bryant, Lieutenant Governor Reeves & Speaker Gunn:

We write with concerns about legislation signed this week, HB 1523, which would allow individuals, religious organizations and private associations to use religion to discriminate against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) Mississippians in some of the most important aspects of their lives, including at work, at schools, in their family life and more. Put simply, HB 1523 is not a bill that reflects the values of our companies....

Discrimination is wrong, and we believe it has no place in Mississippi or anywhere in our country. As companies that pride ourselves on being inclusive and welcoming to all, we strongly urge you to repeal this bill.
