Breonna Taylor decision expected today; Louisville locked down before possible civil unrest

The local news (channel 19 from Cincinnati) has cut down its coverage because of the foul language of some masked angry protestors. The lack of a murder charge seems to have aggravated the protestors. Now, police officers (and any other person engaged in self defensive use of a firearm) have an absolute duty to identify the target before shooting. What is not known is if Hankison believed or had reason to believe there was someone other than the shooter in the apartment.

people kill other people by mistake everyday

if the mistake rises to the level of criminal they are prosecuted

same will happen here

I think that the fewer people who are allowed to stay free after killing their fellow citizens in an unjustified homicide, the better. I do not believe in a heaven or afterlife of any kind. This life is all you get and it is thus infinitely more precious. People who rob others of their lives should be held to account at their peril.

Is there some support we should be giving to cops who kicked down the wrong door unannounced and murdered an innocent woman and will probably be let off the hook?

They were at the correct address, her boyfriend shot an officer through the door, and she was killed in the crossfire when the police made it inside. She was a victim of a chain of events set in motion first by her choice of association with drug traffickers and second by her boyfriend. Indifference to where one officer was shooting once they made it through the door is the only case that can reasonably be made here.

that is neither a rational nor an informed comment.
Hating is what irrational morons do. We, the conservatives, debate and always win. And that is why the leftist only scream, burn, and never offer facts and logic. Their favorite way of "winning" is shouting down the conservatives at colleges and universities. We never, ever do THAT.

Instead, we welcome the opposing views the way Ben Shapiro does. He lets the leftists go first and ahead of those who agree with him during his Q&A's.

maybe not to a cultist

calling anyone who supports Trump-or plans to vote for him instead of the senile place holder for the Kamala Harris wing of the increasingly socialist/marxist Democrat party, a cultist is childish.

Has it ever been stated or determined if the boy friend had any involvement in narcotics trafficking or the use of drugs?

Why would Donald Trump, current republicans or conservative christians care about this woman?
The loss of life for anyone is a tragedy. If it could be avoided then it should. The question here is could it had been avoided? The defense will argue self defense.

you know, you should learn from this.

it was the boyfriend who fired at what he thought was an intruder that caused the cops to shoot and kill the victom

as always, a gun in the hand of a good guy just makes a bad situation worse

It does not matter. He fired first. End of the story

Citizen killed by government employee.

Go to the Arlington Cemetary and say it again.

No. The police had an active narcotics investigation into her ex-boyfriend. The warrant was issued for her and her address because police suspected she was basically a drug mule or at least her home was a stash house for drugs or drug money.

Based on what exactly? What justified suspicion of her?

Just a moment, Novichok. What does that matter? If a bunch of plain-clothed police officers execute a "No-Knock Warrant" of your home (for whatever reason), and you did not know they were police and you just see armed intruders breaking into your residence and you fire upon them, but they fire back killing your wife and children, I would argue that the deaths of your wife and children are on the police. Not you.

The state must identify itself to us. Not we to them. We are citizens, and they are our servants. Not the other way around. And they do not get to use the excuse "We were fired upon!" when they did not make clear that they were law enforcement officers executing a lawful search or arrest warrant.

good post-the no knock warrant is the foundation of this tragedy

One citizen killing another citizen. You don’t lose your citizenship when donning a uniform.

which is still a citizen killed by a government employee.
