Breaking Down the Arizona Candidate Filing Deadline

Senate:
Democratic incumbent Mark Kelly (D) runs unopposed in his party's primary. Meanwhile, there is a five-candidate Republican primary. Notable Republicans include Attorney General of Arizona Mark Brnovich (R), founder and former chair of DEPCOM Power, Inc. Jim Lamon (R), and Arizona Corporation Commission member Justin Olson (R). Mark Kelly (D) and the winner of the Republican primary will face criminal defense attorney Marc Victor (L).

House:

District 1:
Republican incumbent Dave Schweikert (R) takes on undergraduate from Purdue University Josh Barnett (R) and unknown Elijah Norton (R). Meanwhile, former president of the Tempe Union High Schools Education Foundation Jevin Hodge (D) takes on unknown Adam Metzendorf (D) and and unknown Ginger Sykes Torres (D) in the Democratic primary.

District 2:
Democratic incumbent Tom O'Halleran (D) runs unopposed in his party's primary. Meanwhile, there is an eight-candidate Republican primary. Notable Republicans include Arizona State Representative Walter Blackman (R), Navy Veteran Eli Crane (R), and former Mayor of Williams, Arizona John W. Moore (R).

District 3:
This District is already in the General Election season as Democratic incumbent Ruben Gallego (D) takes on unknown Jeffrey Zink (R).

District 4:
Democratic incumbent Greg Stanton (D) runs unopposed in his party's primary. Meanwhile, there is a six-candidate Republican primary. Notable Republicans include entrepreneur and restaurant owner Kelly Cooper (R), undergraduate from Arizona State University Jerone Davison (R), pilot, consultant, and engineer Dave Giles (R), at-largeg Chandler City Councilman Rene Lopez (R), chaplain candidate in the Army Reserve Alex Stovall (R), and Arizona State attendee Tanya Wheeless (R).

District 5:
This District is already in the General Election Season as Republican incumbent Andy Biggs (R) takes on attorney Javier Ramos (D) and financial and estate planner attorney Clint Smith (I).

District 6:
This is an open seat. Unknown Avery Anderson (D) faces off against former Arizona State Senator Kirsten Engel (D) and current Arizona State Representative Daniel Hernandez, Jr. (D). Meanwhile, there is a five-candidate Republican primary. Notable Republicans include founder of the Vail Voice community newspaper, WomanShooter.com, and the American Woman Shooter Magazine Lucretia Free (D), former runner-up in 2020 election for District 2 Brandon Martin (R), U.S. Air Force veteran Young Mayberry (R), and former District 2 Mesa City Council candidate Kathleen Winn (R).

District 7:
Democratic incumbent Raul Grijalva (D) runs unopposed in his party's primary. Meanwhile, unknown Nina Becker (R) and and unknown Luis Pozzolo (R) face off in the Republican primary.

District 8:
Republican incumbent Debbie Lesko (R) wins the district unopposed.

District 9:
Republican incumbent Paul Gosar (R) has three Republican opponents. The winner of the Republican primary goes on to face Flagstaff, Arizona native Gareth Gilsdorf (IPUSA*). Notable Republicans include at-large delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention Sandra Dowling (R), and Army veteran Adam Morgan (R).

Governor:
Five Republicans square off for the nomination. Meanwhile, Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs (D) takes on former Arizona State Representative Aaron Lieberman (D) and unknown Marco Lopez for the Democratic nomination. Notable Republicans include small business owner Scott Neely (R) and former United States Rep. Matt Salmon (R).
