Hello to you all!

What do you think about the new Borat movie?? I have not seen it myself yet, but from what i've heard it's really funny.
Many "older" people think it's really mean to trick people into believing that Sasha Baron Cohen really is a Kazakh citizen. As seen in the news the Kazakh Government is disgusted by Cohens new movie. They say it's misleading and it shows no connections with the real life of a kazakh.

What do you guys think??

Hello!

One scene that I recall was pretty damned funny. My side hurt for awhile. Else, the spots on youtube were *much* better IMO - less slack time.
The style of comedy is not unqiue and not original, but it is always funny to play ignorant.

With another scene, I regret seeing the movie itself. Younger crowds will think it is awesome. "Older" crowds, as you call us, will think the subject in the scene is off the scale. It's not the tricking of people that will bother the older crowd - it is the subject of some of the skits.

As far as Kazakh being upset - It doesn't really bother me. lol

I've been there and no it's not indicative of Kazakhstan. It's actually a beautiful place with a thriving Jewish community and women got the right to vote at the same time American women did.
That being said, it's just a comedy and not a very funny one at that.

I don't think anyone who has seen the Borat movie actually believes that Cohen is a kazakh. He's an actor who makes fun of kazakh stereotypes. The majority of those who have seen the movie will realise that kazakhs aren't like Borat so the kazakh governmant really have nothing to worry about.

I think he proves how little some people know about the world by playing this character.

Hello. First i must say the movie is a good one. I can tell you that i laughed alot.
Back to the topic... About the Government in Kazakhstan have right, when they say that this movie is not good for thier country. I mean, when people that have never been in Kazakhstan hear the word Kazakhstan they w'll get pictures in the head from movies and pictures they have seen that. This movie was not the best thing for Kazakh because people that have seen the movie will now, if the want it or not, think that Kazakh really looks like this, because they dont have any other pictures. People will think it's just for fun, but they will get this picture when they hear the word Kazakhstan.

Is Borat suppose to be muslim or Jewish? I presume the actor is Jewish?

The Actor who plays Borat is a British Jew. He has been well known in our country for some time. He did a serious playing on British ignorance but then people started to know who he was, so he moved his act to America.

Very funny man. We idore that kinda humour over here.
