Bolton says he recalls Trump using the term "burner phones"

Disgusting, deplorable people, yet you act as if Trump is the victim. What on earth could be the basis for your irritation? You are projecting.

Two officers of Trump Org., one former, Michael Cohen, one not yet fired, both handcuffed in matters related to Trump, Cohen convicted,
So, if you had a lawyer or two, and they did some kind of crime, that makes you guilty of a crime?

Anybody whos ever watched a crime drama on TV knows what a burner phone is.
Personally I’m poor so I just call them phones…
How many adults in 2022 have never heard of a burner phone?

Adults nobody purposely invites to socializing, that's who.

That's like doing coke in the 80s and never hearing of a quaalude.
why would anyone want a quaalude if coke was available?!?

Trump knows what a burner phone is. I already posted a link where he used the term in a lawsuit. Here he is on a TV show literally using a burner phone.

he is such a disgusting liar that would steal $$$$ from his own mama.

and he has southern evangelicals pretty much locked up.

Trump could talk about a burner phone on 5th Ave (or on video as he has) and people would still say he's not lying.

Just another bold face lie. The guy simply can't help himself from lying. On the lighter side of this, ole John Bolton will catch hell setting the record straight about DJT's lying about not knowing what burner phones are.

John Bolton, the former national security adviser in the Trump administration, told CBS News on Tuesday that he had heard former President Donald Trump use the phrase "burner phones" in several discussions and the former president knew what it meant.

"I have no idea what a burner phone is, to the best of my knowledge I have never even heard the term," Trump said.

But Bolton said he and Trump have spoken about how people have used "burner phones" to avoid having their calls scrutinized.
When did Bolton become believable? It's still a mystery to me why Trump hired the liar in the first place.

Of course their is absolutely no reason to believe Bolton, who hates Trump and would love to cause him some trouble.

Fixed it for you.

When did Bolton become believable? It's still a mystery to me why Trump hired the liar in the first place.

As I have stated earlier in the thread, Bolton does tell the truth once in awhile. Many of us with at least half a mind knows that DJT very well knows what a burner phone is either by common knowledge, and, or personal use of them. I've never used one but even as old as I am and basically out of the modern day loop concerning cool sh*t, I knew about them from common knowledge. By common knowledge, I mean from the few 'younger' (by about 15 years) red neck friends in the same County (the boonies) where we live. Think about how many burner phones are used at Mar-a-Lago let alone the entire state of Fla. Or NY and DC. DJT is just being his usual dishonest self.

Okay, it took awhile, but CNN has weighed in and says it is not unusual for Trump not to use the switchboard unless he was in the residence, --AND -- that no pages were missing from the log. So Trump used cells and WH landlines directly without going through the switchboard and that was SOP. Shit. I thought for a minute there we had him.

The DOJ doesn't have him concerning non missing phone logs but there is still the matter of removed/destroyed White House documents. AG Garland will probably give him a pass on that crap too. imo

Probably. It seems most of it was ego enhancing mementoes. There's no way to tell what documents got flushed, because they're gone. So yeah, he'll get away with it.

Bolton is one of the souless chicken hawks who got us into the Iraq war. Instead of doing his patriotic duty and reporting trump's criminality, he decided to cash in a write a book. I sincerely hope Bolton dies painfully. No one deserves it more!

I imagine Satan will play kick ball with his head. I probably could fit Bolton on the top 100 list of sh*ts who deserves a slow rot to hell.

Yeah, mementoes and a box or two of incriminating evidence. imo His entire adult life was dabbling in incriminating acts but once he parked his butt in the White House, he became further above and untouched by the law - w/even more attorneys to guide and protect him. imo

Whenever Trump says he's "never heard" of something, "barely knew" someone or "never been" somewhere, that usually means he's knee deep in it.
Trump's reflexive instinct is to start selling to sooth his discomfort in reaction to a perceived vulnerability, in parallel with his hissing
and snarling like a cornered rat, behavior well known before deplorables lined up to vote for Trump for affirmation and support
of their own racism.

Early in his presidency, after residents of Puerto Rico became stranded disaster victims of devastating, back to back hurricanes,
Trump resorted to an attack strategy he would never consider using against his angry white MAGA base, the ones he persuaded he was
just like them, a victim, and he would, "drain the swamp"!

Moreover, right after the 'cane, Trump tweeted about, of all things, "billions of dollars owed to Wall Street and the banks which...must be dealt with." Seriously? Money owed to Wall St! That is what the man who in one of his last campaign ads showed ominous photos of the New York Stock Exchange and the CEO of Goldman Sachs and proclaimed it was time to put an end to the political and business elites that have "bled our country dry." Of course, he then proceeded to appoint more than a few Goldman and other Wall St. execs and principals.

For as much as Trump loves to issue fiats, he didn't issue the right ones before Maria. He could've ordered the military, FEMA and others to prep for and execute airdrops that put "stuff" on the ground mere hours after the 'cane passed, have relief and hospital ships to arrive w/in 4 hours of the 'cane's passing to immediately start coptering supplies in and critically injured people out to the ships. He could have issued myriad orders to set in motion rapid and material relief, yet he didn't. -snip-"

Official review of Trump phone logs from January 6 finds record is complete

According to multiple sources familiar with Trump's phone behavior and the White House switchboard records, the January 6 log reflects Trump's typical phone habits. He mainly placed calls through the switchboard when he was in the residence but rarely used it when he was in the Oval Office. The fact the log does not show calls on January 6, 2021, from the Oval Office is not unusual, said the sources, because Trump typically had staff either place calls directly for him on landlines or cell phones. Those calls would not be noted on the switchboard log.

Looks like you owe Trump an apology. Again.

The fact that Rudolph Hess died in prison for “crimes against peace” while Bolton is walking the earth freely is evidence that there is little consistent justice in the world

This story has already been exposed as nothing out of the ordinary. Just another democrat attempt to make up shit.

What’s the proof here about what Bolton said ? Also, what does the comment on burner phones prove for the lefts propaganda? Y’all getting desperate…

How does any of these fairy tells you keep spreading help with the current state of the economy, gas prices, and state of the country ?

Also from the CNN article you linked to, (IOW, the gap in documentation of ANY calls made by sitting POTUS Trump, especially during
an unprecedented event, is of too long a period of time to be random, uneventful.)

"..
Calls also should have been documented in the Presidential Daily Diary, which is compiled by an Archives employee detailed to the White House. While it's supposed to include "impromptu moments such as staff member drop-ins and telephone calls," the diarist's account is only as good as the information he or she receives from the President's staff.

The former Obama staffer also acknowledged this process was more of an honor system and dependent on how meticulous aides serving in other administrations were or what instructions they were given.

No explanation has been given so far
why calls known to have been made in the hours Trump was in the Oval Office are not documented in the presidential diary..."

Tbh, I had to look the term up to see what "burner phone" meant. I don't recall ever hearing the term before. I don't know why you would think DJT is lying when he claims he didn't know either. Just because you heard of them doesn't mean others in our age bracket should also. I see long time DP members asking questions about the function of DP features and wonder how they could be around so long and not know something so simple as what they ask about. The answer could be just as simple as they never had reason to use them.

Good point. We don't need to take Bolton's word for it. We know Trump is a big enough liar as it is.
Then I guess this thread is pointless.
