I don't believe it. I doubt she could have gotten a secret like this past her vetting team.
In any case, this doesn't mean she's a hypocrite. These allegations, even if true, would have been a long time ago-- and changing one's position on an issue is what a healthy society would expect people to do, on occasion, when they grow up. Even if she never grew up, and has publicly adopted the wrong position. Simply put, from the moralistic worldview of her professed faith: who better to understand the value of sexual modesty than a person who has left that line of work? Who better to understand the moral value of unborn life than a woman who grieves for killing it?
Thing is, though, her constituents are ****ing hypocrites who would never have voted for her if they'd heard this story beforehand.
Either way... I'm sickened by the people who published this article, because whether the allegations are true or not, the allegations themselves are a gross violation of the ethical standards that "liberals" claim to aspire to.
