I can stomach voting for this guy.Of course I am sure the demo-cans/republi-crats will screw all the 3rd party candidates by trying to keep their names off the ballot.

Bob Barr is a candidate I could get behind. He has some voting issue that aren't congruent with what his current positions are and he's readily admitted that he wouldn't have voted for the PATRIOT act or Defense of Marriage Act which is what he wrote and introduced in the House, See video

I guess this will make him the John Kerry flip-flopper of the day.

Take Barr's positions from the 1990s with a grain of salt, as he has disavowed most of them since then.

Alright. That makes some sense given that many of his positions are clearly strong socially authoritarian conservative which obviously isn't Libertarian. I was reading through that list and wondering if the Libertarian screwed up picking their candidate.

I would like nothing more than for Barr to be on the ballot... especially in Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Colorado, Missouri, etc.

Hell if I'm Obama I'd fund his campaign... as long as he labeled himself as a conservative

That idea was as much a gimmick as the Clinton and McCain gas tax holiday concept. If all 132.3 million tax filers contributed $3, the effort would raise only $396.9 million. That would not even make a material contribution toward reducing the annual federal budget deficit.

I don't know, I think the LP had better candidates they could have taken instead of Barr. Don't really know if I'm 100% behind him as a candidate.

as well as the war on drugs and forcing the state into people's bedrooms and vaginas...

what exactly is libertarian about this guy?

other then the fact that calling yourself a libertarian while actually being a neo-con is the most libertarian thing you can do
