Blood bath in the November elections

I don't think a Republican would vote for Congressman Norm Dicks (D) from Washington 8 times my left wing friend.....

Sure they would...I'm a hard core liberal democrat and I've voted for Republicans in the past. The difference is, Navy, I'm not ashamed to admit what I am.

when you consider the alternative two of the biggest liberals in historry in Kerry and Gore it was a no brainer my left wing friend..............

Uh, the Socialist Drug Bill was signed in 2003. Which you defended. Furthermore, just because Kerry and Gore were douchbags, that does not mean you defend them. And I am more to the right then you are. I'm not the one who defended Bush's massive expansion of government like you did.

Neither were the leader in the house or the senate.

And for that reason, they did nothing? What a joke. The GOP says it's about change and cutting and less government, but let's put two Republicans who partook in the massive spending and government expansion as leaders now in a quest to cut spending and government. Two Republicans who bash Obama on unemployment, but have policies that will result in more job losses.

Here's the new president of safety....he's the former VP of safety who cut funding for safety protocoals which would have helped to stop the massive explosion that got the former president canned. Really.

You're a dyed in the wool partisan.

Then why are they poised to put Boehner and McConnell, two republicans who did nothing to stop the excesses of the Bush years as House and Senate majority leaders?

Your argument is like saying that the company learned it's lesson on safety, that's why we're putting the VP of safety who did nothing to ensure safety in charge.

The GOP hasn't learned anything.

Notice I voted conservative party where there were people from that party running.

The democrat party hasn't learned anything that is why they are going to lose big this election

This is something I have commented on more than once, usually when something about a politician's personal life gets dragged through the mud. To use an odd(for me) example...all the hubbub over O'Donnell having "dabbled" in witchcraft when she was young. Every one has done something stupid when they where young, and to run for public office means that it is very possible it will be used publicly. Who wants to put their family through that, except those who are incredibly hungry for power?

We weed out all those good people who just want to serve, and have nothing left but people who want nothing but power, and then we get bitter and cynical, not seeing that the problem is as much our doing as any one elses.

In my view - most people don't actually *care* what someone does.
They just don't want to know about it.

The only people who *genuinely care* are the opposition vying for that office seat.

Notice I voted conservative party where there were people from that party running.

And you also voted Republican. And you thought they were the party of Change. How's that VP of safety doing over there? The GOP is fundamentally no different from the Dems.

The democrat party hasn't learned anything that is why they are going to lose big this election

And we're going to get a Republican party hasn't learned anything either. And that is better how?

The dems have shown what voters want does not matter. We will see what the GOP learned from 2006 and 2008 soon

As have the Republicans. What's your point? We already have seen what the GOP learned. Nothing. Their pledge is an exercise in fuzzy math with absolutely no real specifics. Reagan's own director of budgets says the plan is half baked. And voters want is contridictory. They want cuts but not to programs they like. They want cuts but not cuts that hurt jobs.

One thing for sure the GOP can't be any worse then the clowns running this country now and you can take that to the bank....

Really?

Tell me. What happens to spending by consumers when large numbers of them lose their jobs? What happens to the businesses who rely on that spending? What happens to their employees? Does that make other businesses want to hire?

The GOP, if they actually care out their plans (I doubt they will though for political survival) would cut large amounts of spending, often on private-public activities resulting in large increases in unemployment. That will reduce significantly the amount of consumer demand and by association, demand for labor in the private sector. On top of that, we have more outflows of unemployment. And less tax revenue. As many businesses are barely making any money as it is, cuts to them aren't going to change their positions on hiring when consumer demand takes another hit. It's all fun and games until it's your district.

So yes, it can get worse.

You mean that bankrupt bank that your "Great and inspired world leader" bailed out?....the one where Fred Thompson was going to leave everyone in the dirt on his way to the whitehouse in 2008?
Sorry navy.....but your predictions are generally completely way off.

Actually Navy as a function of prediction works well. The predictions Navy makes are actually what will not happen. By understanding the functional inverse nature of his predictions, we can properly and accurate predict what will happen by examining the opposite of what he says. Therefore, his predictions are actually spot on, just inverse. His rate of being wrong is statistically abnormal to the point it cannot be said to be chance.

Nice spin to condemn the GOP and give Obama a pass for his failure. What Obama has done mostly is pay back unions for getting him elected.

So tell me how does raising taxes on business and the rich create jobs

Time will tell but one thing for sure you and your liberal friends will be out on 3 November..........I can't wait..:)

Never count your chickens until they're hatched.

Your assessment appears to be faulty when one looks at local polls.

And remember, this isn't an Anti-Liberal season, it's anti-incumbent.

Perhaps it's just coincidence that we have a lot of Liberal incumbents whose seats are up for grabs? Here's one challenger whom I feel won't be pulling the upset.
Go Alvin Greene!

Well.

2008 was an overwhelmingly anti-Republican season... Giving democrats the presidency, and filibuster proof majorities...

That won't happen this time around (and not because not enough seats are available).

There's a chance that the Republicans might take the house back, but I don't think the senate...

Union workers are in the minority....about 1 in 8....

I agree with you there; changing of the guard in the House is almost a given.....the Senate.....not likely.

What part of don`t count your chickens until they`re hatched do you not understand?

You are gonna be disapointed November 3rd... mark my words.

Or maybe not... you never know.

Overconfidence is never a good answer though.

Underpromise, and overwhelmingly deliver...

Good job on failing to read what the stimulus was. And I see you, like the rest of the partisans have absolutely no idea why a leverage/financial crisis is different. It amazes me how people can think they can discuss subjects they have demonstrably no understanding of at all. Furthermore, the GOP has no plan and if you believe the Pledge your math skills are exceptionally subpar.

So tell me how does raising taxes on business and the rich create jobs

Depends on the type of tax. Intelligent people do not cast all taxes as the same.

So no, you cannot explain something that simple.[ And I didn't vote for Obama. And I am more conservative then you could ever hope to be. I understand what the GOP will do. You for some odd reason think that more spend and borrow and no real cuts is Conservative.
