Can a blog be closed to responses?

Never did one at DP here so I don't really know what content controls are available (or are not available) to the blog creator.
 
Make sure you fully understand the difference between a blog and a fanatical diatribe .
 
The blog creator can't close the blog. This is a debate site and comments on another posters blog are going to be allowed.

As @RedAkston stated, users cannot close their blogs to replies. Mods can, but it would be exceedingly rare we would.
