The United Arab Emirates arranged a secret meeting in January between Blackwater founder Erik Prince and a Russian close to President Vladi*mir Putin as part of an apparent effort to establish a back-channel line of communication between Moscow and President-elect Donald Trump, according to U.S., European and Arab officials.

The meeting took place around Jan. 11 — nine days before Trump’s inauguration — in the Seychelles islands in the Indian Ocean, officials said. Though the full agenda remains unclear, the UAE agreed to broker the meeting in part to explore whether Russia could be persuaded to curtail its relationship with Iran, including in Syria, a Trump administration objective that would be likely to require major concessions to Moscow on U.S. sanctions.

Why would Trump need 'back channel' communications set up contact Putin. Trump can call Putin on the telephone. And has. This gets more stupid by the moment.

Maybe Congress should set up a better procedural process to vet an incoming candidate and all members of the staff and cabinet appointments, to fish out all the connections with enemy foreign nations. We're supposed to have a vetting process for Cabinet members, but it apparently doesn't work. It's important to know not just this person or that person's connections with, and financial profit from, a foreign enemy country. It's important to know the sum total of all of them, to form a picture of how much influence or how many strings that enemy country will pull.

While not all Presidential calls to heads of state are recorded, they are all transcribed in real time by national security staffers in a nearby room listening in. The absence of such a transcription of a call made to Putin from the White House would look very suspicious. In order to prevent such a paper trail there would need to be an unofficial backchannel. I'm not saying the story is true, just explaining how Presidential phone calls are made.

Im sure there is a sensible one already..... Lets look at it respectfully.

Those chosen for specific positions likely have experience beyond the natural vetting process. Meaning a Finance Guy going into the Treasury, you dont just pickup as newly passed Series 7 Finance manager, you pick a guy that has been in the market for years and likely seen some shady crap and possible have done some shady crap.

Same goes with intelligence. Some of these guys have cellphones of some dictators because during their time/experience, they had to make a call or 2.

Politics and those within the realm likely have skeletons in the closet. The real issue is those that have skeletons in the closet did they do it for the greater of the nation, or did they do it for themselves.... and only for themselves.


That is the difference. Flynn lying sounds more like he was trying to CYA, cover his..... Thats why he was fired... but his dealings and his specialty of NSA director made sense due to his strategic and intelligence business he setup...


Again...experience, good or bad..... can make good in a position, the question is will they use the position for the greater good or for themselves....

The way foreign policy, politics, and business has been conducted for centuries (based on personal connections and personal relationships) is not shady ****.

We could go through campaign finance laws, but if Trump knew about this, treason is probably all that needs to be said.

Hey, I don't think Donald knew that his friends and their Russian friends were helping his campaign. I think they knew Donald was the only candidate they had who was so stupid and narcissistic that he wouldn't know it was happening in front of his face. It was so funny, You bring up Ivanka, So "Feminist" have been screaming how Trump is a bigot etc. They said, Trump doesn't know anything about women's rights. Blah blah blah...

1) Ivanka, has done quite well for herself. With or without the aid of her father, sure she has the name but still requires work to make things happen.
2) Ivanka, I am assuming is a fine women herself meaning she understands feminism?
3) If Trump was to get advise on women, as Ivanka is now an Unpaid adviser to trump who better to ask for female advice, then um... yeah a female.
3a) Who would Trump get advice from if not Ivanka, Sean Spicer? Seriously, its like Bill Burr stated, a guy writing about, the 3rd Trimester and what to expect....or a women talking about what its like to get kicked in the balls....

Yes, Guilty by association, Ivanka is a successful business women and has earned her own respect, but being Trumps Daughter does not always help her fight, That does not make her any less qualified than any other persons.

Flynn, lied and had foreign dealings, and with his experience, he likely WOULD make a good NSA director, but yeah is integrity is in question and some skeletons are in question now.... So hes gone.


The point of the matter is people might be legitimate, but made bad moves in their past.... does that make everyone around them a bad person. So since Trump said, derogatory remarks, does that make Melania and Trumps children, racist, bigots etc?? No Guilty by association... But not GUILTY of an ACTUAL CRIME.
