Personally I'm all for it.

Absolutely. He's a great diplomat and has an excellent understanding of international relations after serving eight years as president. He's well-liked by leaders in most important countries. If there's anybody who can take control of the UN and reform it, it's Bill Clinton.

I would just like to say that I called it months and months ago. He'd make a great Secretary General.

I think it would be a great appointment for the aforementioned reasons but I am really sick and tired of the "blame everything on Clinton" crowd and I would prefer to not give them anymore reasons to open their pieholes.

I would just like to wipe the slate clean and start over with all new politicians.

"New politicians" do not become the U.N. secretary general. And I don't blame Clinton for everything I just blame him for things that are his fault.

I am opposed to it. I think he could do a good job. But it wouldn't help the perception around the world that we are imperialists hell bent on global domination and a New World Order. C'mon, really, a former president and spouse of a sitting senator? Fit would hit the shan!

I don't see why. Most world leaders (except Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong-il and maybe a few other paranoid freaks) didn't think that when Clinton was president, so why would they think that if he was UN secretary-general?

Kofi Annan seems like a nice enough guy, but he just can't make the trains run on time. Clinton can.

With the culture of corruption at the UN it would be a not too far of a leap for the world to make. Kofi Annan is a debaucle. The corruption under his watch is deplorable.

On a lighter note, the next "Lewinsky" incident could start WW3. :rofl
